Wrong. It's not age, it's miles. LeDouche really isn't 25 years old because compared to your average 25 year old NBA player, he has racked up an insane number of minutes as a result of playing so many minutes per game and advancing deep to the playoffs so many times. To put an example, T-Mac was 26 at the end of the 04-05 season, and we all know how things ended up after that. O'Neal began to suffer injuries at the same age. I don't expect LeDouche to end up as badly as those two, but thinking he's only 25 is not the right way.
Both those players had a history of Injuries, where Lebron doesn't. Look at Kobe, been playing since he was 18, same as Lebron, and he is still doing fine. Now he has joined the heat, he can ease the workload, as Bosh and Wade can, and extend there careers by years. Not having to go 30/7/8 every game, is going to do wonders for Lebron.
That sounds like wishful thinking. Maybe even denial? I wouldn't count on injuries taking a hold of any player, on any team, unless a previous history of injuries is present. None of the players on the current Heat roster seem particularly prone to breaking down physically, and the decrease in minutes will only help Haslem and Miller in the long-run. I think they can both play out their new contracts without issue, especially if Miller is increasingly relegated to more of a jump-shooter role. If the Heat can get a serviceable center or two, their roster will surely be capable of going 9 deep this year. That's enough to at least challenge for a title. Then think of this: every year the big 3 are together, they'll just add another MLE player, plus whatever ring chasers want to hope aboard the South Beach gravy train.
this is just crazy...besides the Big Three, they actually have a good roster filling up... I never thought of the three amigos in Boston as a true all-star fest...In Miami, I definitely do...Glad we're in the West...
Wade didn't perform poorly last year, and Lebron didn't the year before. And you completely glossed over the question? Is the team he took the celtics to 7 with in 08 any way better than the the current Miami team (they will add some center)? I don't think you guys are realizing how far LeBron has been with much less talent.
Bosh / Haslem LeBron Wade / Miller Chalmers They have some 2nd round picks (all forwards), a D-league PG from the Vipers, and Michael Beasley. They will play Wade a few minutes at the PG position.
I said I was excited as you are about this but what history told us.... The talent has to mesh.... Lebron with more talent would equal more success... that d be logical but not everything is logical two wing players SG SF and PF is not like distributing PG, shooting and scoring wing and defensive, blocking C so even balanced, equilibrium I would say is of some relevance here Bosh in my opinion is a SF in a long PF body who is not willing to bang with the big boys... and proved to be that he is more of a douche than I thought... using us With that being said, top talented but not necessarily the best fit.. although they are friends alltogether... haslem, mike miller, wade, bron and bosh... dunno if it can withstand, once results do not go their way
wow. Can't beleive haslem took that much less. I'm really impressed. They need to get some bigs to help in the defense and rebounding areas.
I know. Even the best had their tough times.... I don't believe in sunshine and happiness without hard work and smart front office work putting a showtime team ala the showtime lakers does not do it automatically good thing even the best are not unbeatable If they gel well, someone has to build an Anti-avenger team, If they are the villains *mostly by Cav fans and.....people who saw his ESPN grandeur, we need heroes, we need the joker, harvey and the riddler if they are batman, robin and alfred
This team will be extremely hard to score on. If the Heat team zero on defense, they do not even need to worry about offense. Having to deal with Lebron and Wade on the primeter (man to man defense as well as passing lanes) and then only to mean Bosh and Haslem in the paint. Yeah...good luck. Offensively they are looking set. Mike Miller and Haslem are going to spread the floor. IMO, they need 1 or 2 more shooters and one more big guy to relive Bosh. Barring any injuries and off court issues, I cant see any other team winning in the next 5 years.
Kobe was lucky to win his 5th championship against an old and injured Celtics team and some help from the zebras. His performance in game 7 was nothing home to write about either. So, let's leave his junk in his trunk, shall we? This new Heat team assembled by Riley is going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
Its going to be interesting to see how Adelman and other coaches are going to game plan against these guys. Do you force action in the post? Interior defense is obviously a weakness. Do you try to force Bosh to beat you offensively? Relying on Battier and Ariza to keep the ball out of Lebrons hands and packing the lane to keep Wade from getting to the cup. Teams will have to force a slower pace too because the Heat are going to be ridiculous in transition. However, defensively this team has a lot of holes especially if you have someone like Aaron Brooks who can penetrate the defense at will.
I think their talent will mesh just fine. I don't see why everyone thinks Wade and LeBron can't play together, especially with a sharp shooter like Miller on the floor, and an athletic big that can shoot like Bosh. This isn't Yao and T-Mac throwing outlet passes to Phills and Sura.
Jesus christ you are a f*****g moron. "Robert Horry has 7 rings so he is best player of all time, better then teh Mikhail Jorden"
Lol @ all the hate itt. "They just added the best 3 pt shooter in the game, the Rockets will CRUSH them!!!!!"
