Has Vitale ever taken back what he said about Yao?

Dickie V does love college ball, so I give him credit for that. He was full of crap when he knocked Yao, although a few other people did legitimately think that Jason "No, not that Jayson Williams" Williams was a better player. In any case, he knows who's the best fifth grade post player in the country but is so heavily biased toward college players and having everyone stay in school four years that his pro commentary is worthless.

He probably thinks Lebron could have used four years of college. Plus a redshirt year. Baby.

    He didn't lie.

He wrote it but he didn't say it.

    What's the problem?

    :p

Dick Vitale thinks JJ Redick is the best college player this year. He's all over Duke's jock. And where's Duke now? Not in the Final Four

So many so-called "experts" made judgement on Yao before even seeing him play. Vitale is one. Sam Smith is another.
