Someone please name me another announcer (outside of home announcers i.e. Craig Way or Gene Peterson) who's as biased towards a team as Vitale is to Duke.

Even RM95's Girl said today during Duke's comeback against N.C. State that she thought Vitale should get it over with and just suck the their c****.

Peter Gammons for the Red Sox is close, but not as bad. Dickie V is the most biased I've ever seen . . .

Vitale can't apologize because he has his mouth wrapped around Duke's blue schlong....

    Vitale is an azz...

He is so over-hyped and old...

I would rather have Bill "Throw it Down" Walton call a game than Dickie...

At least Bill has experience and has more creditibility...

Dick Vitale is a comical symbol of basketball... you never get a straight opinion from the guy.... his longevity comes from a non-basketball factor..... basketball needs a face from the past....he is and that is all:) :) :)

He helped make college basketball what it is today. So its kinda hard to knock him down even if his comment were ridiculous.

Vitale is going to be on 610 today, both on the Rome show and afterwards on the Vandermeer/Lord show. Someone should call Vandy before he goes on and have him remind Vitale about his prediction.

Before the tourney started, I'd have voted yes. However, Billy Packer is the douchebag to end all douchebags.

My favorite joke is this: If you replace dick vitale (and all of the espn crew for that matter) with the "cameron crazies" nobody would notice. Just loud and biased toward the blue devils.

The closest thing I've seen him do to a mea culpa on Yao was
when ESPN televised one of Lebron James's high school games, and he and Bill Walton were calling the game.

It was a a month or two after Shaq-Yao I , and as Bill Walton is prone to bringing up Yao in any conversation Vitale said "Man , Bill you really called that one..." ----then they went back to talking about Lebron.

You guys realize that, as a personnel man, Vitale was on the butt end of one of the worst deals in NBA history, right? I mean, no crime to be scammed by Auerbach. He certainly wasn't the first. But, his deal essentially enabled the Celtics dynasty of the 80's and got him fired.

As a personnel guy, Dickie V. is a nightmare.

I have no life, so I forwarded Vitale's quotes to the Rome show. I doubt it will be brought up, but he's still due to come up this hour.
