Has the internet ever caused problems in your relationship?

I dont think its the p*rn that really messes up couples. I think other stuff like facebook/myspace and messenger programs that do it. I have seen a few relationships end because of instant messaging and people getting the password to other's facebook accounts and going through their received or sent messages. Blackberry messenger is another one. Sometimes when its online we say things that we would not in person and when you read it, it looks really bad, as far as flirting etc.

Facebook is the devil for relationships IMO.

 

Disregarding the fact that many women also watch p*rn, what is the problem with watching p*rn over using your imagination? In the end, they pretty much amount to the same thing.

The difference is that p*rn is all visual and physical. I don't operate that way. It doesn't interest me. Women in general aren't as visually stimulated as men. I do hear a lot of them enjoy p*rn themselves, but I wouldn't be one of those people. Some of us don't even think in great deal about what a person would look like, but fantasize about deep relationship and emotional things... you know, all that girl stuff, the stuff guys pretend to feel in order to get some action. Watching others on a screen, even if it wasn't a purely shallow/physical situation, would remove me too far from it myself.

But everybody's different... plus, I do not particularly want to see female body parts. They kind of gross me out actually.

(they're still dumb and shallow, but romance novels have some interesting scenes in them and I suspect a lot of women use them as their p*rn. Conveniently non-visual. They're certainly not buying them for the complex plots or deep characterization.)

 

Would definitely agree with you on this one. Things said in passing on-line can really be taken out of context and blown out of proportion.

 

I'd have to agree with this...I'm seeing this girl (off & on) and she would get PO'd because I'd have girls as friends on my FB...it didn't matter if I knew them since HS, etc., she was just jealous...she "un-friended" me at least 3 times, so now, we're not FB friends, but still see each other...

Also, if there are existing problems in a relationship, it's rather easy to blame the "internet"...it's probably an avenue to commence the fighting, IMHO...
