McGrady has more the likely played his last game in a Rocket uniform. What gets me, is the absolute hatred for a guy who has on more than one occasion carried this team on his back.

2004-2005- McGrady was spectacular. If he had the current Yao and a little bit of talent, the Rockets get past the Mavericks.

2005-2006- Terrible year for the franchise. Yao, McGrady, Wesley, Anderson, etc. all went down with injuries. The Rockets never were able to get on track that season. Even the McGrady haters cant pin that season on him.

2006-2007- McGrady carries the team to a 20-12 record when Yao went out with his broken leg. How quickly we also forget, that without McGrady in the playoffs, the Rockets would have gotten swept and probably would have struggled to score 50 points in any of the games. Remember only 4 players scored in Game 3 in Utah. There was no one that entire series who create or convert a bucket. I shudder to think where that team would have been with out McGrady.

2007-2008- February 26, 2008- Yao goes down for the season. McGrady is battling an injured knee and shoulder. He proceeds to carry the Rockets for the rest of 22 game winning streak. During the playoffs, he won game 3 (with a Carl Landry assist), and without him, it would have been a Jazz sweep.

Granted, he handled his knee situation poorly. I dont agree with some of the statements he has made, but I just do not get the hate.

I have stayed out of most of the McGrady threads, but reading some of the ridiculous and stupid posts I had to chime in. The name calling needs to stop. Sure he can be a prima donna, but lets not forget what he has done.

I just hope that he has, but who knows. The last thing that i wanna see is a gimpy t-slac tryin' 2 play 4 a contrtact next spring. Maybe mgnt feels the same and will just keep him out, cut their losses, and clear the books for 2010.
    I hope.

The posters who feel that no.1 has played his last game 4 Rox are not hatin'.
No. 1's the 1 who's been hatin' & the organization is too well respected and has too high a standard to tolerate no.1's repeated unprofessional behavior.
Morey will find a way to save face and make it a win 4 Rox.

Which superstar doesn't carry the load in the playoffs? I dont see kobe bryant complaining paul gasol got his ass raped by KG last year or odom is a nonfactor or Jordan's depends his teammates to carry the load in the playoffs.

whatever grain of truth may be in no.1's comment, you don't say that about your teammate, your #1 to #2 (or #11 anyway), a man that you expect to be playing with again. no.1's the 1 who's burnninng bridges with his behavior.
And you gotta wonder, does no.1 have a little bit-o-T.O. in 'em, Capt'n? A senario-fabricating, fear-based POV? Or, as T_Man asks,
HEART. Does TruWarier have HEART? Did no.1 & Tru Warier "see things differently?"
I think that we know those answers, and i wouldn't be surprised if no.1 chose the most drastic option to put himself on the shelf 'till FA time next spring, not having to watch a man with a warrior heart lead a team and take the torch that he thought he deserved but never earned.
