You can call me a stat-purist. I believe stats should be INDICATORS of how a player helps his team win, not GOALS for playing the game. Stat-padding, by definition, is the act of reaching some statistical goals outside the purpose of helping the team win. When they do that, the stats are no longer accurate indicators and they lose meaning because of that.
