That's stupid, if them dudes win the championship I hope it's not remembered as one of the best championship teams. It would be like you going to a playground and one team picks all the best players, yeah they'll beat everyone, but they were supposed to, what's so cool about that? I don't know, seems wrong to me and I hope the basketball gods frown upon this and prevent them from winning a championship. :)

all those egos wont be able to coexist.

That was my first thought...then again, they DID make it to the Finals. So while we can talk smack about that Lakers team, they made it farther than we did.

That Laker team was overrated, especially if you compare it to this Heat team, in terms of depth it can't touch them. Sprewell would give them a quality backup at every position, the Lakers didn't have a big man to backup Shaq or Malone, and no swing man.

The egos are the only thing that can hold them down, and injuries, but that's true for every team in the league.

The Heat have 1 glaring problem, inconsistent 3 point shooters. It won't matter against most teams, but it could haunt them versus the Pistons, Pacers, Spurs or Rockets. The Heat will need some guys to step up from the outside (Kapono, JW, JP, AW, Spree?) to make teams pay for overplaying Wade and Shaq. All those guys except the 1-dimensional Kapono have been very inconsistent/average outside shooters. Letting Damon Jones go was dumb on their part, and neither JW, Spree nor GP compensate for the pure shooting they lost.

....and to make matters worse, they have Walker (and J Williams) who will almost certainly start bombing stupid 3s the second they start trailing in a big game.

Spree's interest in the Heat is considerably higher than the other way around. Sam's just passing on what Latrell is telling him.
