And I will say What money do you think the Nets will have to sign him as a UFA? They have no cap space to sign him. The only way Nets get him is thru trade. Period.
he was already willing to do it - brooklyn, but orlando is just pissing every suitor off so that they look elsewhere, and then they call dwight and say can we "mend" fences.
If you are so confident you are right, provide link like Rick asked for. Nobody else has been able to provide anything but anonymous sources. If this point is so important to him, surely he or his agent would have came out and said it directly. " Everyone knows" = repeating unreliable sources.
And he won't do that...as you well know. Lopez just signed the worst value contract in the league, not Morey's style at all.
This^^^ Everyone thinks that because he doesn't put us as his #1 destination that we are automatically his 30th. Dwight Howard to this point has not said anything Bad (or good for that matter) about Houston. Everyone claims to have all of this Rockets and City pride. Well act like it, we don't live in Milwaukee this is the 4th largest city in the country. No one knows for sure that he won't re-sign here (including you David Aldridge). Not even Dwight knows at this point. He doesn't like Orlando because he felt that they didn't do enough to try to get players around him, well that won't be a problem with Mr. Morrey. Plus the Bird Rights issue, plus we would be one of a few teams that would have the money to bring in a friend of his (or 2). There are plenty of reasons for him to consider staying here. Can we please not jump to these ridiculous conclusions that Houston is this terrible place that everyone avoids at all costs....PLEASE!!! Thanks
Masochism at its finest. He's gonna do it, dude. As dumb as he seems, he will roll on for less. He extended and then claimed he was blackmailed into it. Lol "top 5 player....u gotta do it!!!" FOH! You gotta do it when he agrees to a long term. If he doesn't..... Then u don't do it.
Excellent point here. How many times have we been proven, especially with Howard alone, that nothing is ever set in cement.
The Rockets are definitely in the deep end of the pool: it is going to be swim or sink. They have gone all out, so if they strike out again, there is not much of team left. Tankers will rejoice. If they land Howard or Bynum, then it gets real interesting. I can't remember a crazier period in Rocket's history.
So, in other words you can't either. Its amazing, some people will believe random crap they read online over logic and facts.
God, just the absolute stupidity of some people! You must be able to read minds. Pure baseless garbage. As usual.
Naw, homie.....you enlighten us! You seem to have all the answers...so mr. GM / capologist... The Nets cant move players via trade at all to create cap space? Please enlighten us and tell us how they CANT do that.
I'm pretty sure half of our fan base may be r****ded. No, no, not mentally handicapped, I mean r****ded. Morey keeps this team at a steady pace of being number 9 in the west in spite of having no stars, fire Morey chants galore. Morey decides to blow it up and start anew, maybe in the processing netting an actual star, fire Morey chants galore. You people are idiots. Please, please, please, stay off the internet and go back to where you belong: the world of politics. Leave the basketball to the rest of us...
