Has Langhi earned another look next year?

Why would Langhi want to re-sign with us? Remember how he "demanded" a trade?

With Rice coming back, and the Rockets possibly drafting or acquiring a SF, Langhi will be lucky to play at all.

Langhi would probably rather sign with a team like the Grizzlies than the Rockets.

The problem with Langhi and this team is that he is more comfortable when he has the ball in his hands. He is not a classic catch and shoot guy, although he can do that as well.

Dan should bail, he has NEVER gotten a chance here and probably NEVER will.

It is too bad because he will be a decent NBA player....but somewhere else.

Rudy has a long memory, and when Dan demanded a trade he buried him in the doghouse.

Heck, Dan should be pissed at Rudy as he basically said at the beginning of the year that DL didn't really fit in....funny how it is ok for one guy to say the truth but not the other.

Langhi has all the tools to be successful in the NBA, but our coach is not one who is going to give him the ball over SF....so......if you or I were Langhi what would you do?

    Yep....leave for greener pastures.

I appreciate the vote, but I think I have figured out a way to assuage other boardsters and still maintain my distinct identity. To be continued....

What was whiny about what BGM and me asked Thumbs?

Did you think it was whiny or was it really whiny ?

I was just trying to give him some advice on what I thought might help him.

I, *obviously*, can't go over to where he posts and stop him from posting whatever the hell he wants.

However, noticing how quickly and politely he responded to BGM's post, I assumed that he likes the BBS and wants to get better. And I applaud him for that. I can't force him or anyone else here to take my advice or even read my posts; I just posted what I did just in case he does want to hear what others might think.

BTW - don't you think that your comment of "whiny" is the pot calling the kettle black? I mean, I didn't get into taking personal shots at Thumbs, now did I?

    Manny,

I just don't like people telling others how to post.

Unless it is me, of course.

    :D

Okay. Okay. I thought I had it solved, but I couldn't transfer two little thumbs up/down symbols which wouldn't get in anybody's way. Any volunteers to help me do that, or is it possible?

He's never gonna be successful on this team because of the system and because of our glut oat sf. I do not expect the Rockets to sign him but I expect he will become a contributer to a team somewhere else next year.

    what DaD said

no one here should be telling anyone else how to post unless it's clutchcity staff right?

he wants to thumbs up or thumbs down things, don't go outta ur way to find time to judge him...

i think one word made your post rather weird manny... that's calling the thumbs thing a "gimmick" ... gimmick for what?

to become a clutchcity bbs hall of famer? lol... now that is funny

at least it's not something like "the crispee stamp of approval" or houstone's "Five-star TRADE ACCEPTED"

PLEASE READ THIS POST CAREFULLY BEFORE KNEE-JERK REACTIONS FOLLOW!

    crossover:

That is your opinion, and I respect it. However, my opinion is one that if Thumbs keeps up with the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" routine in each and every post, well that is going to make it hard for him to be taken seriously by anyone here. However, that is my opinion. Maybe there are all kinds of posters here that enjoy someone saying in every post, "Thumbs Up!"

I guess I could ignore it, but I am speaking from experience, man. When I first started, I felt that I had to do something to get myself noticed. I came up with at first insulting newbies, and then went to crazy, off-the-wall stuff. I finally realized that if anyone was going to really take me seriously here, I just had to act normal.

Saying "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" in every conversation you have is not normal, IMO. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode in which Puddy says "High Five" after every little thing. Needless to say, he annoyed the **** out of everybody he came into contact with.

I guess I'm taking this too seriously, but I got the impression that Thumbs is planning on sticking around here for a long time. I could give a rat's ass about him or anyone else becoming a "Hall of Fame" BBS poster, but I'm sure that Thumbs cares about being a poster that people will listen to and respond to, and not be one that is looked with disdain or is regarded as a comical one.

I'm sorry that I have made this a "soapbox" issue, but I really think that Thumbs is someone that will be worth listening to; however, I think it would be a shame if people automatically tune him out because they think he is still putting "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" or whatever in every one of his posts.

That's all I'm going to say about it...I promise.

EDIT - I didn't see ZRB's post until now. I take everything you say with a grain of salt, dude. I mean after reading your post, I rest my case on the matter.

Your attitude is surprising..........considering that you pleaded to get back on the BBS.

I find it really amusing how some of us can argue over thumbs.

Well hell, I'm sorry my post didn't earn the Manny Ramirez Seal of Approval! Perhaps I should go back to the hangout and "train". Maybe I'm not insulting junior members over the quality of their posts enough. Maybe I should start a thread asking, "who is your favorite poster with an average of 14+ posts per day?" That will surely prepare me for the difficult world of discussing a basketball team on the internet!

    Umm...ZRB...get over it.

    What Mango said...

This has only been like my 4th post in this forum in some while.

I have really been cracking on those newbies, haven't I, Z or is it Turn or Tweak?

I'll spell it out, so that even you can understand, All I was trying to do was lend some perspective, not be some f*cking BBS police nazi!

*Yawn*...gotta go to bed, maybe reading your Poll thread will help me fall asleep.

Thumbs up to Thumbs. Will you guys let it go? I've never seen so many people that wear their feelings on their sleeves. Just let it go. Has anyone welcomed Thumbs to the board?

    Welcome aboard Thumbs. :)

Why does he need perspective? If he wants to post in a particular style, that's his right! Let the administrators give him "perspective"!
