If you think Melo stayed with the Knicks for any other reason than $$ you're one of the very few that thinks so. Same for Bosh. Both of your examples don't prove anything in regards to a player wanting to lead their team. Money talked and they took it. I never faulted them for that just the same way I said Parsons was smart to have grabbed the money when he could. As for whether or not they care about what fans think who gives a ****? Being a fan of ANYTHING means that you have a strong opinion on a particular subject matter. My post has nothing about being butthurt. Lol
Surprisingly, Klay has not appeared to be neutered by Durant's presence. If anyone's game needed to be sacrifice, it should be Klay's, demoting from second option to third. But if you look at Klay's numbers, almost everything stays the same, including points and FGA. The only thing that has dropped is 3p%.
I guess Klay was right when he said, at the beginning of the season, that he wasn't going to sacrifice for anyone. Meanwhile, Curry and Green's numbers have dropped a tic.
Sometimes you can have too many chiefs and not enough indians. Not saying that GS will be that team but I do think they miss Bogut, Ezeli, Speights, Barbossa, etc off the bench. I still remember when the Rockets traded Horry and Cassell for Barkley, but it didn't quite work out for us. Chemistry is a funny thing, you put a little too much into the pot and it ruins it. If you don't have quite enough you feel like you need to add more than you really need.
It's going to be even more interesting when they have to sacrifice Iggy and/or Livingston next year just so they can keep their top 4 players together.
Yep, I said this earlier in the season and I've not seen anything yet to convince me otherwise. Playoffs will be all that matter, their record is so good though because there are so many bad teams and they just out talent most of them.
They've also played a really easy schedule the first 20 games. It's weird because the numbers say there better the record says there worse. My eyes tell me different things every quarter with this team. I don't take much stock in them beating the trailblazers by 45 and drilling the lakers because iv seen the rockets get up by 40 on the lakers and beat Portland by 20+ 2x in a week. Those are bad teams. But I do see them go on these runs and even I think man in watching somthing iv never seen before, but then is see them let teams right back in the game on multiple occasions, why? Because the bench and interior positions are a lot weaker than in years past. Basketball is the one sport that is star driven more than any other but it's still a team game. There bench is not deep, iggy is not the same. They prob should have traded him and kept bogut. There bigs are just soft. But teams have gotten better and are doing a lot of the things the Warriors do. The rockets actually remind me of the 67 win warriors team. The Cavs are better and shoot a ton of threes under ty lue. Toronto got better and is the best offense in the NBA and shoot a lot of threes. No surprise those are the best teams in the league from a point differential standpoint. Teams adjusted and can now compete. The Warriors knew this and that's why they swung for the fences and went after KD. It's been good for them. I think there still the favorites but Toronto houston and the Cavs can legit beat them but they should never be favored. It's going to be interesting going forward because this is it. Teams like houston and Toronto but more so houston can still make some moves to get better. The Warriors are actually going to start losing guys just to keep the big 4. I might be being a homer but I really think houston is on to something. I think they are closer than even the Cavs to being the one team that can really revival the Warriors for the next few years. We need one big time player or Capela and dekker taking there games to another level and that doesn't have to be allstar either. The rockets are good now. Imo the 3rd best team in the league and we haven't even hit our stride yet and have major room for improvement.
I could see the warriors winning 18-20 games in a row starting within the next 5 games. People will be singing a different tune at that point when they are something like 50-8.
Curry is still Curry, he's just accommodating Durant as you would expect him to. No different to how Harden's numbers would tail off a bit if a Paul George joined forces with him.
They're not as good as last year? Oh, you mean the team that won 73 games? You don't say. I'm actually surprised how well they've been considering we're not even at the break yet. I thought they would have had struggled more at this point considering the major changes. They haven't even fully gelled yet they're still rolling and will only get better as the season progresses but even then they have to win it all or else their season is a failure. Way too early to judge them. But I will say the loss of Mo Speights is underrated.
this... he would always hit a few of unbelievable shots at just the right time...actually Barbosa and Ezeli and Barnes, even Bogut had a habit of scoring, passing and making key defensive plays just at the right time whenever i watched warriors... THEY WERE UNBELIEVABLE TOGETHER
Ive thought this about the Warriors since early in the season. Still deadly... just seems like some of the "magic" is lost. Doesn't mean they still can't win it all. More than that is the issue of end of close games. KD just doesn't have "it" to end game. The Warriors mostly did. They now look confused as to who the leader is... except KD is trying to be it...
Exacly - just as the Warriors are on something like a 69 or 70 win pace now. They just aren't chasing any particular season-long goal anymore and don't care as much about 72 or 73 or 74.
His voice was pretty deep in that clip so I don't think he has been neutered quite yet. You might be on to something.
