i was thinking he may be hurting a little bit or just off the last couple weeks. he's had some absolutely brilliant defensive performances this season so I'm not sure that if he is carrying any extra weight, it's actually hurting him. even the best defensive player can't stop an offensive player whose hot.
On the other hand, looks like Yao trimmed down a bit, which I think is good for his health and speed (relatively speaking)...maybe Chuck is taking Yao's leftovers during pre game meals.
Al Jefferson was just on fire tonight. He dominated Yao every bit as much as Hayes. Hayes normally holds his own but he has seemed to struggle with fouls recently.
OK he is heavier than he used to be but that's not the reason why he got torched last night...Jefferson is a great offensive player and he is much taller than Hayes. If you expect Hayes to guard him in the first place, especially when he is on fire, he's going to get bombed on. Hayes plays great defense on most of the PFs that Landry and Scola get torn apart by. He's not meant for guarding Centers that torch Yao...
Some day people on here will realize that Hayes isn't very good, period!! He's supposed to be this "good post defender" but Jefferson lit him up on like 4 straight possessions in the 4th last night...all he's good for is getting in there and banging around a little bit and dropping passes that will lead to wide open lay-ups

I am guessing you were joking. That picture is from his junior year of college so of course he was smaller. He was smaller there than he was two years ago with Van Gundy. This is not a new phenomenon.
Well yeah about the binge-eating part. But you have to admit that lean,mean all-muscle machine in the pic there looks way way different from the Hayes now. I mean, we don't call him "Chuck-wagon" for nothing lols. Don't get me wrong I'm still a big fan. Just surprised how different he looked that's all
Yeah he is huge now but we all still love the Chuckster (at least most of us do)... I really thought that was Andre Iguodala though. I'm still not convinced it isn't lol.
