Yeah, I remember last year during the playoffs going into the break he said he wanted his money. Which proves he has a grudge against the Rockets...i'm telling you all, he didn't say one positive thing about us all night long.
that's not the point, the point is that we CARE what Barkley says instead of what Webber or GP or Malone says. People here WANT Charles to say that we're the greatest thing since sliced bread, but he WON'T but you keep watching cause you want him to. How fun would it be if Charles said "oh Yao is up there with Hakeem and Kareem"? No one would even make a thread of it. This is why Clutchfans is obsessed with Charles, as much as they say they want him to say great things about the Rockets, they tune in to see what doubts he has about them.
Oh i'm not denying that...i've just been waiting for Charles to say one good thing and tonight...I thought maybe tonight he'd give us some credit. We gotta start mocking him like how the GSW fans did in the playoffs.
last time he predicted us to win the playoffs was against the jazz. so i hope he's predicting us to lose.
you know to be fair, his analysis was great on the Rockets. he said #1 "Yao Ming HAS TO BE their best player" #2 "Tracy McGrady has to find out away to play in the system as a role player" (if he ever returns) this is on Inside the NBA (after the Lakers game)
Last night he said this team would be better with a Tmac who played off of Yao. He said Yao needs to be the number one option and everything should go through him, I think that is big coming from Charles. Tmac and Yao never really played well together, they won more games together off of pure talent. But obviously our offense suffered bc the chemistry issues between the two on the court.

Jesus guys, Charles literally said last night that for the Rockets to win, we need to go through Yao. He's been saying that Yao is definitely our best player and Tracy needs to defer to Yao and allow him to carry us for two years. Any praise beyond that is unnecessary and superfluious. It's not like Yao has really done anything yet.
thats big... considering... most were saying Tmac had to be the number 1 guy even just last year... I thnk Barkley is there... to create some laughs... I remember a while back Barkley was just about to say.... "If Rockets wins a Championship....ill right there Kenny kicked in and said "dont go there" and they both had a laugh...
Just take whatever Barkley says and go the other way. He is a drunk (he looked drunk and/or stoned last night with those squinty eyes) He is obnoxious He may be a racist or just plain stupid, this is still up in the air
Here are about Barkley: He thinks that the rockets own his money by without increasing his salary in the second year (he said on the TV). He thought the rockets should not pick Yao with the first pick from the day one, and the rockets did not listen to him, he just wanted to prove he was right since then, but ends up kissing something. He is just not smart, almost wrong at every pick for a team to lose or win a game. He was drinking too much even he was doing the TV work. Much more. You can say much more
I had to watch the whole thing bc half time was annoying, no mention of the game. I bet if Lebron was going off they would have had half time highlights for us. Well anyways sadly I am addicted to what Charles has to say about this team so I had to watch the ending.
Yeah you can say much more like how he thinks Yao should be the number one option even if Tmac is healthy. And how the team should play off Yao bc he is our best player. I think what Charles does not like about Yao is his lack of aggression and coming off as soft sometimes. I am not completely sticking up for him bc he says a lot of ignorant stuff but I think most Rockets fans take it too far.
that's why Charles is great. The people who claim to can't stand him watch him. When they tried to replace him with GP/Webber , it just wasn't there. They were entertaining. But no one really cares too much on what they were saying. At least Charles is very opinionated. GP and Webber are there to joke with each other. Ratings were probably pretty bad without Charles. They even put Karl Malone on the show and that was boring. What would be perfect is if TNT hires Bill Walton to the team.
Karl Malone, really? I am glad I missed that, I stopped watching when Charles went out. For all his flaws he is hilarious especially with sidekick Kenny, the adequate set up man.
It seems to me that the coaches (JVG, Doug Collins, Hubie Brown, Mike Frattello, etc.) are way more knowledgeable and insightful than the players (Barkley, Kenny Smith, Mark Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jalen Rose, Bill Walton, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson, Chris Webber, and Gary Payton). IMHO, the worst are Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, all Bill Walton although for the last two, it may just be part of their shtick.
