Yes, he has learned what he is not good at and what he should stick to doing.

I voted no. To me, there was no improvement or decline. Trevor as we see him playing in our team is just like the Trevor we saw playing with the Lakers. Although our team wanted him to assume a bigger role (might I say T-Mac-ish), it clearly did not work. He is and should be a role player. With that being said, he is still at least an above average ball thief and that I cannot deny :) .

we'll have to wait and see if he works on his game in the offseason..if he's really determined to improve his game he'll get with a coach in the offseason and do ball handling drills 2-3 hours a day every day until its second nature...ball handling is something that can be improved easily just with time and consistent work and confidence in your abilities.
the same can be done for shooting....but I' believe Ariza will benefit more from improved ball handling since he can be more effective slashing to the basket with his atheleticism.

    Exactly......I have hope......just not a belief.

And the problem is that he is just uncordinated and gangly, he just is out of control so often.....when he is in control he is much better, but he is off balance on most drives and it kills his ability to finish on anything other than a dunk.

I do take back some of it though, his 3pt percentage has actually gone up...if he gets it to 33% or more, that is good enough.....

He has and will continue to improve next year when all the pieces are in place.

    Jinxed him!

Honestly, we can't expect him to play like this every night, but with Yao back and possible addition of another big name or good free agent, Ariza will have plenty of opportunity to prove that he can be a bit more consistent than 33%

DD, seriously, good for you. Ariza is a good NBA player, not a bad one. As we found out this long season, he cannot do more than he is asked. Lakers Ariza is good enough for the Rockets.

He was a 20 minutes per game player last year for them, at the MLE, he has to be better than that.

He's driving more. He's making smarter decisions with the basketball. He's crashing the boards better.

Yeah, he's improved. If you don't see it, try turning down your initial rage a bit.

Ironic that just after this thread, Ariza has one of his best games of the season.

Overall, he has improved slightly. He shoots 3's best when he is stationary, like when someone is passing the ball to him from the post. IF Yao's healthy, he SHOULD play better next year (in theory).

Damn DD, now I am proud of you! You know the old saying: "takes a big man to admit... blah, blah, blah...".

Kudos to you, my Rocket fellow fan!

And maybe Chase will be as good as Ariza one day.

Alas, I hope but don't believe.

    ;)
