He has improved in the sense that he does not have to show his weaknesses as much because now he is playing with a scorer in Kevin Martin, and not with Shane Battier.

If the question is, has he become a better player in the sense that he is more skilled, then of course not. He is still the same player. He just shoots fewer ill-advised shots now.

I think he really needs to get back to filling the lane on the break vs transition 3's which i hate. He could do some things to become a bettter player in the flow of the offense. A guy like trevor should never shoot half his shots from 3. He should be a 5-11 guy every night. He should hit 1 3pter, 2-transition type baskets, and 2 misc shots in the half court for about 11-13ppg.

I think he got better, but he wasn't as good as I thought he was to begin with. I liked the signing a lot at the time because the only times I saw him were when we played the lakers and he was always getting steals and dunking on us. I thought he had some potential but it's clear he's close to maxed now. He should be getting around 4 million per year. Face it, a lot of us thought if anything, his contract was at least an "asset." But now it looks like it has slight negative value.

I don't see how he has improved. You stated that he has playmaking abilities that he didn't have as a laker. Give me an example please. Oh and turning it over 3 times before an amazing play doesn't really count.

After the allstar game, Ariza has average 4.3 assists per game. In recent 3 games, his assist numbers are 4, 8, & 5. BTW, His career APG is 1.7.

I think he is improved after all-star break.

I don't think anyone is hating. I just don't think he improved this year. That doesn't mean I don't think he is a really good player. What he does really well, he did it really well for the lakers and I can't really say that he added to his game that much. He also got plenty of opportunities.

You can make the argument that his stats went up. But improving and having the opportunity for a more significant roll is different. His game didn't improve he just has a larger roll now.

Ah, so when you said "None of his stats show improvement," what you meant was, "His shooting percentages, and maybe some other stats, have not shown improvement." (Which is false, by the way.) Presumably, this means that players can only improve if their shooting percentages--as well as some other unnamed stats--improve. Interesting...

No, when you have people saying he's a bad NBA player and that he sucks (look a few post below) and that he is trash. That is hating.

I don't think he is a good NBA player, his fundamentals suck balls.

He is a bad shooter, bad dribbler and doesn't make hard cuts.

Can he get better? Sure, but how many 25 year olds suddenly learn how to dribble?

I know he will be a 5th option and he can do that, but IMO, you can get that 5th option for a lot less than $6 million a year, I think we overpaid.
