Turbo retired because he was injured far too often. He now trains other guys to do what he did. A group he trained still visits Rockets games about 2 or 3 times each season. They also go to other games around the league.

The Rockets wanted him to stay but he left voluntarily.

turbo was older (for a gymist) back in 1994 - he and five others (including the Sun's Gorilla) all trained together and took up with NBA teams

.. now they are all retired

still, clutch will do a dunk every now and then

    Lol.

I have no way to verify, of course, especially with Tim abandoning us, but I'd bet that the Rockets spend more on half-time entertainment now than they did at the Summit. Just a hunch.

This was discussed at Fan council, They have a budget when it comes to half time shows...they did say they will get better but this will take time, also whoever said Clutch was awful is dead wrong he is one of the top 5 mascots in the league...

The food is good but I do not suggest you buy the pizza
Chicken tenders basket is great and so is the buffalo wings.

I can't stand much of the food there. The Compaq Center used to have great nachos, now the ones at the Toyota Center are okay, but not nearly as good as the old ones. Even though I rarely get it, the best food I've had from there (yes I've tried it all, except for the food in the lower middle sections) would be the ice cream that you can put your own toppings on. I know there's a place upstairs that will sell you the ice cream, but you have to pay for toppings and they put them on for you. There's at least one place, it's located downstairs, that has them all set out for you so you can help yourself. Anyway if you want food from there I recommend:

    One of the salads
    Chile Cheese Fries
    Cheeseburger (not the Houston burger)

One time I made the mistake of getting popcorn and it was stale!

i don't know what the bear has to do with the rockets either but does it really matter? is that actually ruining peoples entertainment cause we're not the houston bears and we have a bear as a mascot? i hope not cause that's pretty sad. as far as mascots go i think clutch is awesome by the way and probably most kids do as well.

i spend most of the time at the half walking around so whatever they do doesn't really bother me. i do miss turbo though.

To answer a few questions I missed:

Has anyone noticed how cheap the Rockets game entertainment is? Yes

Why do we have Clutch? Because he's the best thing we've got entertainment wise, and he's great at what he does.

Hey... If you hadn't heard, Youppi! is up for sale. One of the conditions of sale is that he doesn't leave Quebec, but maybe the Rockets organization could work around that. Youppi! + Rockets = Awesome.

I agree that the food sucks compared to the Compaq/Summit.

Also Pepsi? Who made this crappy decision? How can I mix a drink with Pepsi?

And the "entertainment" is not entertaining. At least the basketball has gotten better as of late (except for the outcome of the last 2 games).
