I have not and my AA colleagues who have said they were polite and respectful and had no problem with how they were treated.

But they are successful and hard working, have no interest in firearms and drugs , not something the "victims" relate to.

It is a broken system that attracts sadistic mindsets. New recruits go in with ideas and morals and come out the same twisted power trippers as the rest. In California many make 6 figures with overtime. A lot of it has to do with the success of privately owned prisons so the demand for incarceration remains high.

Police , statistically, are not so bad. But the extreme cases will always be highlighted especially in areas where many secretly admit profiling saves lives. Not all, but more than if they didnt.

I guess this is why the expectation to stay cool calm and collected is placed on the individual getting assaulted and notthe cops

What was the crime? What was he actually in the act of doing? What was his response when cops questioned him? Stories without context mean nothing

started with him being pulled over for speeding. Then the cop tried to use force on my friend, then shot him. Friend was never charged with a crime.

Had no record. But he is a large guy, could have been roid raging, was not long after he quit triple A baseball.

I have not but my aunt was rapped by two illegal aliens 30 years ago. She was 14 years old and they broke in and gang raped her.

My aunt never got over it.

My brother was almost killed when a drunk illegal alien crashed his car into my infant brothers wall where his cradle was.

This was all a long time ago though. I don’t think building a wall is the solution, nor is racist rhetoric.

Nice try racist, but I don't support anyone walking around with ar15's or thinking automatic's will protect them from a government invasion. This narrative is the head of people who thrive on being the victim or can't compete in a society based on merit. Newsflash-- you would not need to be the victim or make up narratives if you could see things clearly.

Not brutality but I have had a few bad experiences. Worst was when the cops came running out of their car at a traffic stop yelling not to **** with precinct 5 or whatever. I was thrown to the ground by my belt, had a knee forced into my back, and was handcuffed for “running from the cops” because I slowly moved out of an intersection to pull over out of the way. It was late and I was in a not great neighborhood. That was the driver. Partner stood back and had his gun out. Guy picked me back up by my belt and frisked me violently after cuffed. Like literally knocked the wind out of me when he checked between my legs.

Then they accused me of drunk driving and put me in the back of the car. Then they asked where I was going. I told them home and when they said I was lying and going the wrong way I gave them street by street directions on how I was going home. Then a second car came and they put me through a sobriety test. I passed. They let me go and told me I was lucky.

Edit: it wasn’t really a traffic stop because I hadn’t done anything wrong. They saw me leaving a party and ended up driving backwards down the street to come pull me over. They assumed I was drunk or driving dirty or something.

Brutality isn't all Fist punches and rib kicks
The overly rough handling is brutality

Staying cool, calm, being polite and obeying commands usually helps out when interacting with cops.

Btw I’m not excusing cops getting out of control. I’m stating that they do not receive adequate training from what I have seen and heard. My point is that if they were mandated to do some type of Gracie jiujitsu or other mixed type of self defense system centered around control, takedowns, and basic striking and hand fighting with and without weapons then you would see a cop that is much more in control of their emotions and able to control suspects significantly easier. Have cops mandated to take the course once a week or so and also mandate basic physical fitness. These things will change your attitude and how you respond to stress. All that on top of body cams (and punishment if they aren't turned on) make a big difference in my mind.

I just saw a stat that showed police recruits get 58 hours of firearms training, 24 hours of use of force training scenarios, 8 hours of baton use training, and only 8 hours of de-escalation training. You can see pretty clearly why they resort to their gun first.

You said you were a victim of police brutality. I agree police accountability and feeling like they can report issues to internal affairs is a major issue. Do you have any other solutions that you think would be good?
