Hey, nice try. Eminem is quite possibly the best rapper alive and one of the most respected, regardless of race.

However, Jeremy Lin is going to be glorified. In Asian standards, he is spectacular. In normal standards, he'll be subpar.

    You must be white.

Em is awesome, one of the best.. But never have I heard someone say he's the BEST RAPPER alive until now other than white kids.

Nobody said Jeremy Lin will be Kobe or Lebron. As long as he can play regular rotation minutes on a NBA squad I'd consider that a success since there are only 300-something NBA players at any given time compared to the millions who play basketball on the regular.

I haven't seen an albino reach the NBA. Wouldn't that be great for albinos of the world to have one of their own in a pro league.

Lol I actually thought of Jin too when we started talking about rappers.

Jin making a name of himself on freestyle fridays got similar attention from Asians (and non-asians) that Jeremy Lin is getting now.

Jin was a one-trick pony, definitely not a good rapper. Let's hope Jeremy Lin can actually ball with the big boys and not just in the summer league.

This thread should probably be moved to the D&D because it's about race, not about Lin's basketball skills.

It doesn't matter how long Jeremy Lin's career proves to be, he'll always be called "Harvard's Jeremy Lin".

Look ... he's a basketball player... and he went to a smart school.

It will be the new announcer catchphrase, replacing Hot Rod Hundley's "Adam Keefe out of Stanford".

Good thing I left it open ended and said quite possibly. He's on par with Jay-Z and Kanye West.
