Harris will be fine. As Bill Worrell mentioned yesterday that Harris scored 46 points and grabbed 26 rebounds in a game in China. I do not care who he played against, this is impressive. I see the comparison drawn to Hayes and Landry. He is a better shooter than Hayes (who isn't) but Hayes is a better defender. He can dunk the ball but not as quick leaper as Landry. He might be a better defensive rebounder than Landry. In the summer league, he looked better than Landry, but maybe Landry was sandbagging!
Mike Harris can spell Tmac and Battier and that is HUGE..... I believe he will be in the rotation for about 10 minutes a game....and everyone will see what some of us like about him. DD
dang we are deep. Got rid of all our nonproductive players this year and replaced them with guys that can ball. I think Bonzi was the one guy I was sad to see go. Now if Francis can return to form next year wow!
I couldn't find it anywhere but did Gerald Green get waived? I think it was way too fast to give up on him if they did. Mike Harris played a'ight but I would've loved to keep Green. Williams is a nice cheap pickup to play center. He looks like a good rebounder and shot blocker.
that is idiotic to say after one game. u must be part of the same guys that wanted to trade rafer and fire adelman. have u ever seen a basketball game.moron.
It took the Rockets the summer and half the regular season to learn the corner series offense well enough to win regularly. It's unlikely Williams had could learn as much in a day as the Rockets did in half the season and a summer. Justin Williams never played for Adelman. Harris went through the summer camp, just like the rest of the Rockets. He didn't have half the season to learn. He's been playing in China. His coach didn't run the corner series offense.
give them some time. they will hopefully get comfortable in an NBA. if nothing else, they can give up 6 fouls each.....HACK A SHAK!!!
