Jeffries for Harris (Jeffries to Den if a 3 way deal)

Petro for TPE / our pick back

    Cut Ish

We would come away with a pick, which opens up our tradable assets, a third above average point guard, which opens up trading Brooks or Lowry all for eating some long term salary and taking a lux tax hit this year.

honestly, I want Harris on our team..he can team up with KMart...isn't the Rox interested in him when he was drafted?

The Nuggets can do a lot better than an expiring contract for Harris.

Portland will give them Andre Miller (non-guaranteed salary next season) plus draft picks, at least.

Well, so much for the Rockets holding out for their first rounder back from New Jersey in exchange for taking back Petro.

For even an early second rounder, it's just not worth it to clog up their cap with Petro's salary.

Agreed. I was operating under the assumption we could squeeze a 1st rounder for our troubles. Not worth losing Ish and taking on Petro's salary for a 2nd rounder.

Maybe on the Petro thing, but that means we took Petro so we could get T-Will.

I can do without the rest of it. There are other things we can get for Jeffries; Harris isn't bad, but we don't need him. If we had to choose between cutting Jeffries to keep Ish, or making the trade, I'd make the trade, but we can get something more useful for Jeffries, and I want a real good reason to cut Ish. Harris is too much of a lateral move - obviously, we only bring in Harris if AB is going, anyhow.

What is worth-while is either getting a SF or defensive C, or a player that is a real upgrade. Somebody that plays like Lowry but is 20% better is a real upgrade. Harris isn't.

If deal goes through, Pistons will get a 2nd round pick from NJ for taking Johan Petro

I would rather keep AB than take Harris....Petro - no way. Harris clearly has regressed since his Dallas days....BUT I think a decent option would be for Houston to get involved in the trade to get a guy like Chris Andersen. If he can be a much taller version of Chuck Hayes, I'm sold.

He was injured the whole season. If you're gonna blame the 2nd worst record in nba history on anyone, blame it on Brook Lopez. When Harris was the go-to guy and he was fully healthy, the Nets were good enough to only get the 2nd worst pick. When he got injured and they started putting Brook Lopez in the game, the Nets started 0-19. They only started winning games when Harris was healthy enough to play on the court, although looking at him play he still wasn't fully recovered.
