There was another tidbit in a different article about the Pistons not wanting Petro and the Nets trying to find a team for him. Could be the Rockets.
I sure hope not. He's making 3.25, 3.25, and 3.5 million over the next 3 seasons. I know we need a center and all, but I don't think he's what we're looking for. I'm hoping we're getting involved to snag Harris.
looking at Petros game logs at nba.com, does not look very good to me. Not a lot of rebounds, blocks or points.
Johan Petro is not very good. There's a reason the Pistons don't want him. Apparently Denver isn't particularly high on Harris, so maybe there's something there. I highly doubt Morey wants to get involved in this just to try and get Petro.
Why would we want petro and harris....petro suck and harris is a marginal upgrade over brooks with a bad contract....harris and petro dont add up to WINS
Harris' contract actually isn't too bad. $8,981,000, $9,319,000, and $8,500,000 over the next three. Brooks is going to want a pretty nice contract this offseason. I wonder what we would have to give up, though.
Come on Morey. You can do better than this. There must be something bigger than a crappy Harris and Petro deal.
Thabeet is younger, protects the paint better, and is a WAAY better shot blocker. Johan Petro is just a 7 footer.
If he's so great then why can't he get off the bench for Memphis? I've seen this guy play, he's not even close to being a poor man's Deke.
If for any reason the Rockets would want to bring in a PG in this deal, it would have to be billups. I saw somewhere that he will want a buyout if he ended up on the Nets. In this case, Rockets can make room for him by unloading some players like AB, Ish, or whomever. Mr. Big Shot can be a valuable, veteran presence in Houston!
