Give up Battier, AB, and Hill for Petro and Harris? NO THANKS! Petro is crap and his career numbers back my opinion up. Harris is pretty much the same player as AB, however, a worst 3-pt shooter, more prone to injuries with a crap contract. And where would we be getting the picks from if Denver is wanted 5 first rounders? No way i would do this deal if all we're getting are 2nd round picks.
I don't why people want Harris over Brooks, Harris is ok but AB is way better player, more consistent, and doesn't have health issues as much as Harris.
Would it be worth taking on Petro's salary--he'd cut the Rockets' cap room this summer by $3.25M and will be owed another $3.5M in 2012-13--in order to get back the Rockets' own (lottery-protected) 2012 first rounder? Hmmmm....
They'd have to accept JJ (with all the $s flying around it should fit in the rules) otherwise the owner would be sucking upto another $7m or so of Lux hit.
We could possibly do one better and get an additional draft pick that is not our own. That way, if we're in the lottery next year, we would have three first rounders -- a pretty big trading chip to move up in the draft with.
I would think most guys on Clutch Fans would stop putting Hill in every single trade. We need to keep Hill. Unless its for Chris Paul or Carmelo, then I wouldn't trade Hill. Oh, on this trade. Isn't Harris hurt a lot? And I haven't seen Petro play so I say no.
How much cap room are the Rockets going to have this summer? Not much I assume? If that's the case[not having much cap space], ehh what 3.25 million?! I'm kidding! I have no idea on anything regarding the salary cap and cap space. I'll leave that up to you. Heh, but all kidding aside, no I don't/didn't really want Petro. So as the cap expert that you are who knows everything, would you do that deal or such a deal?
I wouldn't want any of this. I hear that Billups wants a buyout if he gets shipped to NJ. In this case, I think he would b a good veteran presence on the Rockets and he can make his shots. I would say that we should ship somebody, or two, out for draft picks and make salary room for Billups. Those players that the Rockets ship out for draft picks and/or cheap talent can be anyone, like Brooks, Hill or Jeffries.
lmao, your dreaming if u think he's comeing to the freakin houston rockettts' hes going to miami heat on the first plane available if he gets bought out
