    There is gonna be a huge group of white people who are stoked about this and a huge group of white people that are going to hate this...and then the rest of everyone else white/black/brown etc. who won't care.

    Andrew Jackson was an a-hole is what I got from watching CNN's Race for the Presidency.

    -Killed a guy in a duel.
    -Married a married woman.
    -Was a dick to Adams.

    Why not remove the faces from all bills and coins? Instead we continue to divide the country with these kind of decisions. It's white skin vs black skin in a country that is soon to be majority Hispanic/Latino while Native Americans continue to look on and ignored from their **** reservations, plagued by alcoholism and violence toward women.

    Andrew Jackson survived two assassination attempts. Jackson won wars. He shut down international banking cartels' first attempt to usurp this nation. He also was the only President to ever completely pay off the national debt, and he founded the modern day Democratic Party (plus also started the political spoils system, ha). He has a political movement started from him that expanded politics to the commoner. But: Trail of Tears will always haunt him.

    Quite a controversial person. Definitely an important one nevertheless. Actually, interesting that, considering he took down some national banks, he would be the choice to be taken off.

    Harriet Tubman was more moral than both Jackson and Hamilton (the other choice). But Between Hamilton and Jackson, I am really not surprised that this increasingly authoritarian government would venerate the Federalist, the centralist, the aristocrat, over the other.
