Neither is Brewer - if he shoots 35% that is good enough to keep them honest and keep their C having to guard him. DD
It's tough to compare players to Dmo, since nobody even knows if Dmo is still alive or anything. I do find it hilarious how much time we spend talking about Dmo on these forums, though. He has to be one of the most famous role players in the history of basketball. Somewhere, Popeye Jones is rolling over in his grave.
LOL, he CAN do many of these things, except that Nene is a better back up true C, Anderson and Dekker both shoot better from distance, and he's the "fastest" only if you don't count the 2-3 faster guys. A luxury player who will struggle for minutes and pout otherwise. Pass.
Dmos post ups? Yeah he has a decent post game but come on he's not Hakeem. No way in hell does Dmos post game save us from playoff failure. If anything he can give us a 2-10pts and allow some rest for our starters.
And Nene is already missing games due to injury after only 16 games and less than 300 minutes played despite not playing on back to back nights..... Also, Dekker is a SF, not really a "big"
We have Clint Capela (6'10" but length and athleticism plays like 7') Ryan Anderson (plays as much like a 7 footer as DMO does lol) and Nene (6'11") I don't care whether we bring DMo back, just saying, we do have some bigs
Then the obvious choice is Harrell lol. Obviously we dont like brewer for his shooting cause the man cant shoot for shh1t.
Do we beat GS without Harrell's 13 and 10? I don't think we do. Harrell brings an element to the game that this team lacks and he produces almost every time he gets minutes. I hate the idea of him being put back on moth balls. He and Decker (11 and 8 with 2 assists and 2 steals along with going 2/3 on threes) were huge.
can let D'antoni run Dmo into the ground in the regular season so Capella and Nene have fresh legs for the playoffs.
Dmo carreer stats are beyond bad...He has not proven anything. Also considering his injury past, I would stay well away from this guy.
Disagree with OP . Harrell had a shot to be better than Dmo if Dmo can't regain athleticism after injury . But if Dmo can regain like 80% of his form then he is superior on both ends .
Like the DMo vs TJones debate..... this comparison is with players who do different things: DMo is a player who will more than likely play a role like Anderson (if he can hit 3pts at a good clip) and what my boy Chuck Hayes did with Adelman, run some of the offense out of the high post. He plays team defense well. Harrell is a player who is pure energy and plays without regard to human life. He has the potential to be an elite finisher in the PNR while being a versatile defender. I can see Harrell being a double double machine if given enough minutes and see DMo being an elite big man passer given enough minutes.
