didn't know you and DD thought he was ever a great player...

It's amazing. Has there ever been a player who was that good for such a short period of time?

    Did McGrady die?

    Too melodramatic.

He's just on the downside of his career. Let this kind of talk wait until he's away from the game for a couple of years and some of the negative headlines are no longer on the forefronts of people's minds.

Right now isn't the time for this.

He meant, just like McGrady, they are not champions.

This is one of the most miraculous game ending's i've ever seen. You'd think that it's straight out a Disney movie. Gives me great emotions each time I see it and reminds me the player I used to like.

He could've been amazing. As amazing as Kobe and MJ. But his body just didn't cooperate. :(

OJ was a legend. He won the heisman and he was a great NFL player, he could cut right through the defense of any team.

throwing under the bus?? dude take a chill pill - i never said tmac was a champion. i'm a black/white type of guy. you either are or are NOT .... making it to 2nd round, conference finals, still equates to NOT A CHAMPION if you dont win it all. I like those guys too - and I'll still like them at the end of the season after their 1st round loss to the Mavs. haha.

And I believe TMAC was on the olympic team at some point.... think i remember him getting in a tussle with Greece or something.

    Good, yes,
    Great, No.
Legend, if you want to remember only the first rounder.

People should show respect for OJ's career and that comparison is flawed because OJ was legit. McGrady while he should get more respect then Houston fans seem willing to give him, isn't up there with OJ Simpson's professional career.

Calling him a Legend is just an absolute INSULT TO THE GAME OF BASKETBALL.

I'm not sure what the security concerns were about.

That's because Houston fans have a very high standard when it comes to the Rockets.

Of course the comparison is flawed, just like the article I based it off of.

There's no doubt TMac was once great. Unfortunately his body failed him, the worst of which was how his foot kept getting stuck in his mouth.

Despite his problems, I still rate him higher than Hall-of-Famer douches like Stockton and Malone any day. TMac was better in his prime, is a nicer person (prob too nice), and is a humanitarian to boot.

Malone was a douche, Stockton was not. Stockton played the game the way it was meant to be played by a PG and was as tough as nails. I would take Stockton prime over T-Mac prime any day.
