I take chinese in high school. Its not as hard as one migh think. There isnt an conjuating like spanish or other latin languages, its more like English I think personally. But I hear Icelandic is the hardest language in the world to learn
I have some knowledge of/can speak Latvian, Lithuanian, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish and Polish. French is probably the hardest. Spanish is easier, like a French for dummies almost. Whoever said Russian is really hard is wrong, it's not the easiest but it's not really hard. Polish is like Russian, only with normal letters. Writing that is. If you know Russian, you will maybe have an idea about what the Polish people next to you are talking about but if you'll pick up a Polish paper, you'll understand a lot. German sucks, I hate that language with a passion and it is hard in my opinion. Oh, and English is definitely the easiest.
Arabic is the most difficult langauge. I mean the formal Arabic, note that every single Arabic country has an informal dialect/accent. The easiest ones are those in North Africa, because of the Frenchnized factor. Most difficult ones are from the persian gulf area.
I don't think Arabic is the hardest, by far.. but as far as pronunciation goes, it could be way up there for some people.
Except you must learn at least 5000 symbols. Most people use books to learn and if you have 5000 symbols then you need to just memorize them and learn how they sound.
