hi snowflake. Are u upset? offended? butthurt? ive no time for the eternal whiners and victims, bye felicia. (ignore listed lol)
Don't be a piecer, man. He called you out and now you're acting like an aggressive snowflaker melting down because you got called out. Don't be soft. Be brave next time maybe. Dort is a failed experiment so far for stopping Harden because our coaches have already come up with multiple schemes that all worked. If you want to be right say, "we'll see because it ain't over" or something like that. You like to call people "snowflake" but you can't take heat. Typical from your kind.
called out for posting a stat lol. I got no time for someone being offended by facts. the link i posted is a well put together analysis of Dorts impact on Harden. If you or someone is upset by something that is recorded and analyze... its not incumbent on me to deal with your reaction. also me calling him a snowflake and "melting down" was done as a touche for him calling troll - if responses in kind triggers you... my apolgies.
Dort is at present a huge liability for OKC on the offensive side of the ball as his inability to shoot is causing them to play 4 on 5 on offense, leaving them with little spacing and stagnating their offense. That however doesn't negate Dort as a "failed experiment for stopping Harden." When guarded by Dort, Harden is dramatically impacted in both efficiency and volume. Does that mean every possession or even game equal a Dort shut down of Harden, of course not... however as the numbers show, more than anyone else aside from Robertson in 2017, Dort has had tremendous success shutting down Harden. The Rockets best and most effective strategy against Dort's defense on Harden is simple - not try to beat it, but avoid it. They've acknowledge Dort's impact and are not only attacking him by ignoring him on offense but by trying to avoid him on Harden through more concerted screens. The strategy which is clearly the correct one - succeeds by getting Dort switched off of Harden, not exactly rocket science lol. And in todays NBA, with the shooting/spacing which then almost requires constant switching, impact wing defenders will be increasing less valuable and impactful... as teams hunting for the weakest defender in pick and rolls are becoming the norm. Dort isn't a failed experiment, his numbers not only against Harden, but other great offensive players in the league is clear - he is a great perimeter defender - but his defensive impact will be limited going forward as more and more team incorporate more shooting and hunt for the switches that results from it.
Dort looked amazing in game 5 his defense is so excellent that OKC has been able to lock Harden up and hold him to 32, 7, and 8 on 49% shooting and 64% TS...that includes 80% at the rim all hail OKC’s “Harden stoppers”
Nah you just really quick to come out here posting stats to bash harden but nowhere to be found after a good game. Gutless.. I find that’s the trait of the lin trolls who wait for the opportune time to flood the board after a bad harden game to start infesting bashing threads like parasites. They do it with multiple ids to boot
Strange that you thought so... as Harden had his best game versus Dort all season, scoring something like 14 points on 8 scoring possessions. Also its not mutually exclusive in today's game for a defender to have great success versus an offensive player while simultaneously... that same offensive player have a great game. The reason ? In today's NBA, the advent of added spacing and shooting has led defense to adjust to their pick and roll coverages to increasingly more switching. For instance, in prior games versus OKC, Harden could have had some very impressive performance, despite being ineffective vs Dort, but extremely effective when guarded by any other OKC player. In game 5, Harden was effective versus Dort as well as against OKC's other defenders. The rockets were especially effective vs SGA.
I find all of this quite funny. No one can stop James Harden except James Harden. He is averaging like 32 points a game, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and only 2.5 turnovers .... all while having an efg% of nearly 60%
