He lacks balls to step up and articulate the situation in an honest and considerate way.

But I do think the problem is TF

    Pot meet kettle.

You've been calling people out for personal attacks while doing the same thing at times for no reasons.

Maybe you need to take break from posting in every Harden thread and arguments. Those harden defenders aren't going to wonder what your opinions are.

Or keep on posting... I'm sure one side will eventually convince the other.

It's not about winning a ring it's about being the best offensive player of all time. You can see it in his body language. He doesn't have that fire, like MJ or Kobe. That's cool 99.99% of the majority of NBA players, past or present, didn't have it either. He's a regular season hero, playoff zero. He shrinks when the lights are the brightest. That's the reason Dream will be the greatest Rocket of all time. When it mattered most, he raised his game. It was fun to watch while it lasted. I was hoping Harden could win a chip here but it wasn't meant to be.....take the Simmons deal and get on with life.

Okay, man you are moving the goal posts. I never said he was a bad player, but that he hastn been good enough and that he's had glaring flaws that have held his team back, held Durant back. There are other second options today that probably could have won a chip with Durant.

That's highly unlikely lol. It is ridiculous, they would definitely want him to change his shot selection.

They dont allow him, they have to put up with it because he's their superstar player. What are you talking about?

Early in his career, sure that makes sense. But please dont tell me that continued to do that. He's not smart enough to know not to take those shots. Lol so you have evidence of people telling him not to shoot a type of shot but he shot it anyways. These are actual narratives you are making up to cape for Russ. This is straight up silly man. You are making up your own narratives over actual reporting by Thunder's most respected beat writer.

Harden works damn hard on his body and his game consistently since arriving in Houston for someone who doesnt care.

One doesnt have to be in your face personality to be a winner.

    Even in sports.

Even if it's a 3 team deal, i don't really see any team giving up substantial assets in order to have Allen expiring and LeVert...Prince and Dinwiddie have most likely no value since one sucks and the other is just ok but expiring.

But when you say he holds teams back and makes teams worse then say he's not been good enough for most of his career how can I take "He's not been a bad player" from that.

Maybe Durant should take some blame too? A little? You're putting all the blame on each of his pairings completely on him. PG didn't hold his team back, durant didn,t it was just Westbrook...but you're also saying he's not a bad player?

If you tell me someone is holding their team back from greatness then it sounds like this player is not very good.

    Why does Giannis shoot 3s?

Also, putting up with it IS allowing it, that's the same thing.

I'm not portraying Royce's report to be some flogging of Westbrook and just an interesting "Hey, he denied some analytics at some point in time." story.

You're ignoring what Russ's teammates and coach's have said lol for some fluff story that wasn't supposed to mean anything. Again, that a player denied analytical data isn't new or isn't news. Kobe did too. In fact, Kobe HATED analytics. Especially since the stat geeks came at him for being 'inefficient'.

Lebron too, has something to say about it.

But here? You bring this up. "YOU don't know anything! We don't need it! Harden't Can't! Harden won't! You people deny math and stats!" You get called stupid for this but then Lebron says it, or Pop says it, then it's silence. I remember someone here going on about net rating this and that and as Pop called it, it's an analytical fantasy and a hoax. But people swear by this or that number as if it's everything.

So that Westbrook turned down some analytical approach to his game is not a surprise, you're making Royce's story into something it wasn't.

Also, people act like Russ doesn't know this when he's acknowledged it over and over and over again throughout his career. Dude literally said he takes the shot to keep defenders honest at one point...wait, that's the same reason they tell Ben to take the shot, to keep defenders honest. Maybe it's not all "Bad %, shoudn't shoot in that spot!"

Game ain't played on spreadsheets, you can keep calling it silly or whatever but argue with the greats about it if you please.

Bill simmons floated the idea of dimwidee plus picks to DEN - mpj, allen and levert + picks to Houston and harden to BRK.

Not sure how feasible that deal is, but I'm not optimistic about the return houston will be able to get back for Harden.

Something may crop up, but at the moment I don't see any team giving up a ton or even being that interested.

Honestly the way I read it is Harden doesn't want out! He just wants the Rockets to get the tools he needs to win a title. Trade Eric Gordon and whatever needs to be traded to win a title.
This whole situation is dumb. If you aren't going to win a title because you can't afford to get the players he needs to win it all just keep the one superstar your franchise has Happy! Let him have his coach, team mates and friends.

Also, you clowning on my take that Russ had to take those shots to get better at them when Durant said this same thing. Kevin Durant.

This reminds me of how the stat group here got mad when I said that players weren't often thinking too much about analytics during games, despite receiving the information and Draymond Green one time said something like he had no idea what people were talking about when they bring up analytics to him and he just plays off feel.

I guess that depends on how much you value Porter, the talent is clearly there, but the guy is already injury prone...i don't know if he's the piece you build a trade around for Harden tbh, maybe if you're desperate. And if he's really good, i wonder why would Denver trade him for picks and DinWiddie when they already have two players like DinWiddie that are better (Murray) and cheaper (Morris).
