Concentrating on iso. Almost completely eliminating the pick and roll and only use screens to switch defenders for... More isos Being used as a post defender. Playing "4 on 3" offense where Harden by "design" stands near the half court line like T-Mac in Toronto when the reality is it's just "4 on 4" or sometimes even 4 on 5 as Harden that far out near the half court line whole an offense is being run is not a real threat. All these adjustments were to limit Harden's steps taken per game because he has conditioning issues probably due to being bigger than he needs to be and having some childhood asthma issues. Don't confuse durability with stamina.
I did and it's still stupid. It's amazing how you throw around people being Harden stans but then you come up with bullshit like this and clutch your pearls when people rightfully identify you as a hater. You convienently leave oiut the fact that the team has had great success with Harden playing this way but its just catering to Harden right?
We only eliminated the PnR because of WB and it was only a half a season. How can anybody take you serious when you are trying to say that was removed because Harden does not like to move his feet. Yeah the guy who usually plays the most minutes in the NBA and has the most usage does not want to move his feet because of conditioning issues. Seems legit.
That was by design, Morey and Danotni did that because teams didnt want to deal with the Harden-Capela pick and roll. And Capela wasnt good enough to run efficient offense out of a trap. Harden did what they told him to do. You literally have evidence from pre season games and in pressers today from both the coach and Harden. Also Zach Lowe is on record saying this as well. And FYI Cp3 did the same in 2017-2018. He's always been a big iso player himself.
ABA was murdering NBA teams in the early 70s... It most certainly does count If you know the history of the NBA.
The incessant switching rather than attacking the pick started the season before. None of your points conflict with my statement that Harden is relecitant to move his feet and has conditioning issues. Again, don't confuse stamina with durability. Stamina can help with durability for sure as being better conditioned results in more direct movements rather than sloppy movements which can result in injury but one can be durable and still have stamina issues. Harden disguises his stamina issues by being the most last NBA player in history off the ball and being very stationary even when he has the ball often just dribbling the air out of the ball on one spot.
Now you are just making **** up. Capela had his best ppg in that season and what was his primary means of scoring? You are not even trying to sound logical anymore. Be gone hater.
I want to make it clear, I think ALL of them worked hard and are deserving champions. However I don’t think Harden is any different other than circumstance. No one on the Rockets works and practices harder than James Harden and it is reflected in the fact he has consistently improved and addressed the weaknesses in his game. Had George Gervin been a Laker or Celtic he would be considered an all time great, etc.
There is no answer he can give that works for him. "Yes" - does that mean you are saying you don't want to be traded? That opens up a minefield for him "No" - that throws his team under the bus. He's smart not to say anything. What can he really say? He wants out, he's made it clear, and he's not changing his mind. Why does he need to say that to the media?
I agree just at the time I guess I was a little disappointed . But now being objective about it I guess that was the only answer he could give
lame response after you peacock your feathers before camp but now don't want to talk about it. tell the truth, don't be a punk as b****!
Harden knows he can't defer and needs his teammates on the court to be able to adjust and handle 5 vs 8 at a moment's notice. It's the only way to for the Rockets to win.
It’s a no-win situation for him to say anything about it publicly until it is fully resolved in one way or another. I am happy he is saying the right things and is willing to play and be professional heading into tonight’s game. I know that’s a low bar, but given all the noise over the last week, it is good to hear.
