Do you see that DPOY award? Hakeem is quite literally twice the player Harden is. I mean we are comparing one of the best defensive players of all time to one of the worst. How is this a freaking comparison. WTF is wrong with this poll? I can't believe there are actually more votes for Harden. I'm truly perplexed.
Dream's patented move that every big man and even superstar shooting guards try to mimic - the Dream Shake Harden's patented move - the head snap back and arm flail.
what's wrong with facts? Harden is a much better offensive player than Hakeem was, Harden's edge on offense more than makes up for his deficit on defense so it's comparable.
if anything, it proves those nostalgic, subjective opinion on players aren't as important as you perceive them to be.

Harden's 60% from the restricted area is not evidence that he is an excellent finisher. In fact, he's a rather poor finisher. The reason why it's so high is that he doesn't flail and do his head snap back when the finish is easy with little to no contact. However, any moderately difficult finish, he will flop or do his arms extended out thing which will draw a foul. When you draw a foul, that missed fg is not recorded. Most great finishers like Jordan, Kobe, Wade, T-mac(in his prime) etc. would actually try to finish on the very difficult attempts. The problem with Harden's approach is it depends on a independent third party. His effectiveness depends on the refs. If the refs decide not to fall for his floppage, he's screwed. We have seen it on many games. One off season of the NBA discussing how to call Harden could eventually ruin him. That's how fickle his talent is.
