    This is true. I'm sure this is nothing new -- and even though people had the video on hand prior to yesterday's game, it wasn't worth circulating until his performance made it (arguably) relevant. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I read where Harden said himself that he didn't even really pick up a basketball for most of this summer.

    I don't think the issue is that partying makes him play bad. It's about his attitude.

    People expect their franchise player to be focused on winning. When you have played three bad games in a row, you are supposed to be mad at yourself and do things to improve rather than chilling out at parties.

    This is the same kind of reaction from fans when Howard smiles and acts silly while we are losing bad. He is perceived to be not being serious about winning.

    I am not saying it is a rational reaction. But it is not unreasonable. Most parents would be furious if their kid went partying after flunking at school.

    ok. This is the second time in a week this poster has come and made wild unbased serious accusations about players.
    First he called Jones an alcoholic because he didn't play well and now James a drug addict.

    If you swapped Harden and Lebron, the Rockets would win the title.

    So him partying proves hes not focused on winning?? Those 2 things are mutually exclusive...How does anyone know he hadn't been practicing all day and wanted to just go out

    No. GM LeBron knows to surround him with shooters. GM Morey surrounds Harden with people who can't shoot and lets them shoot on historic proportions.

    It proves that he's not taking his job as seriously as he should. When you're supposed to be the best player on a contender and your team has gotten embarrassed the previous 2 games while you're one of the biggest reason, shooting a pathetic 22% and getting roasted defensively. I mean you have basically 3-4 months to party (although that wouldn't be the best decision for any elite athlete), but partying while your team is crashing and burning, and setting records for ineptitude, you might want to skip the late night partying and get rest or put in some extra hours in the gym/court to get yourself in game-shape and work on your broken ass jumper. Just my personal opinion though.

    I just can't see any good reason why anyone would defend him.

    @Os Trigonum
    @ROXRAN

    I'm not associating with Jeremy Lin fans who hate James Harden
    These beings don't count as Rockets fans
    period.
