I agree that Dray's defense is basically what sets him apart but looking at just his assist numbers playing in GSW doesn't prove the he'll be a legit playmaker on ANY team his assists are basically the result of having 3 elite shooters/spacers and 2 of them are elite scorers and top 5 players. Most of his assists are just hockey passes where in the play originates from Curry or Durant then gets to Green who then passes it to Klay, Curry, or KD. I believe that kind of intermediary passer can easily be replaced (but not his defense). that's why I believe today's teams don't exactly drool over an elite defender but average or below average offensive player (non elite shooter/scorer/playmaker) I'll expand your choices, which team/s would choose to trade for Draymond as their very first choice over all the other active NBA players?
No team would choose him... But you know my argument was referring to f*****g warriors, and how much value Dray has ON THAT TEAM! They aren't a regular team, they are arguably the best of all Time; Dray gives them exactly what they need and that's the reason why is that valuable to them. Warriors have Steph who's one of the best shooter of all time, and Kd who's at least top3 offensive player of the last decade. They DON'T NEED MORE FIREPOWER, PERIOD, and that's why i said that i don't think warriors would trade him for harden. This argument has no value for any other current team, and probably any other team in nba history. HARDEN IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL, PLANET, WORLD, UNIVERSE! You put Draymond in every other team in nba history and that team would trade him IMMEDIATELY for Jimmy! And I never said Warriors will trade Green for Harden they don't even play the same position much less role. Only reason I mentioned Harden was to prove what type of player teams are drooling for. But I did say Warriors will trade Klay for Harden if they had a chance though.
