In comparison to being as good as Harden or being someone who the Rockets would ever even entertain the possibility of trade Harden for, which is what you are positing , Klay, Zaza, Dray, and pretty much every other human being on the planet, save for 1 or 2 - share the exact same status, in fact, the same status that you and I share:

    LOL, nope.

That's great and super helpful. o_O

If you don't want to be in this thread because its hypotheticals that won't happen, then don't be in this thread.

If we're talking about hypotheticals, Klay is not analogous to Zaza, Dray is not analogous to Jordan Bell.

In comparison to being as good as Harden, if you can't see the difference between Klay and Zaza and Dray and Jordan Bell... well, that's shocking.

    At basketball,

    Klay < Harden
    Zaza < Harden
    Bell < Harden

Chances of the Rockets trading Harden for Klay, straight up, today: 0.0 percent
Chances of the Rockets trading Harden for Zaza, straight up, today: 0.0 percent
Chances of the Rockets trading Harden for Bell, straight up, today: 0.0 percent

Seems like a pretty similar relationship to me.

Let me know if this is helpful to you in figuring out why everybody is being so mean to you.

    You just said:

One, that's not what I posited.

Two, that's only similar in the completely devoid of context sense that I could also say it's similar because all 3 warriors also have fewer letters in their name. That variable one compares to variable two in the same way each time is useless.

Comparing Harden to Klay or Dray is not remotely the same as comparing him to Zaza or Jordan Bell

What is dumb about this analysis - should we post a poll to see who is right here?

Your positing because Harden is better than Klay and Harden is better than Dray, than any conversation that compares Harden vs. those two players is the equivalent of comparing Harden vs. Zaza and Jordan Bell.

    Which is dumb.

You've tried to justify it by saying because variable 1 > variable 2 for all of them, its similar. But that's useless.
Harden is also better than Bob Meyers. He's also better than Steve Kerr. He's also better than yada, yada, yada.
Tons of things have tons of similarities in all kinds of ways... as you noted, might as well compare Harden to you or me at basketball

Again, useless to the conversation and dumb. Effectively, you don't like this hypothetical conversation... so as I've noted, feel free not to participate in it.

It's dumb to posit that Harden is better than Klay and Draymond - both to a neutral observer and for the Rockets in particular?

Should we post a poll to see who is correct here?

That's not what I've posited once in this thread.

Please go back and quote me where I have.

You're just making **** up here.

Moreover... even if that was what I posited (again, it's not), it still doesn't add any value at all to then making random comparisons to Zaza or Jordan Bell. It's still just useless and dumb stuff that you are throwing out there because you don't like the discussion...

What's the poll? "Is it the same to compare James Harden to Klay Thompson as it is to compare him to ZaZa Pachulia?"

I don't think we need a poll for that. We know the answer, because at no point has there been a Harden vs. Zaza thread on this BBS. In no rankings of top 25 or 50 players have Harden or Zaza shared the same page or tier or whatever.

But if you insist, sure, go for it.

I have no dog in this fight. But what I feel you seem to be missing is that in the NBA, you always take the superstar over the star. You can find Klay Thompson's and Draymond Green's nearly every year. A superstar like Harden doesn't come along all the time. That's why GS would absolutely trade anyone not named Steph or Durant for Harden. But it's a pointless discussion because the Rockets would never even entertain such a stupid trade.

Bingo. Why would they add another offensive player when they’re already #1?

    Weird.

that's not a prediction son.. that's what everyone saw when Klay was in his peak and being a 2nd option and harden wasn't as good as he is now. Some of you fools got short term memory and only comparing today's stat instead of looking back.

I'm not missing that. I'm just pointing out that at this point, for GSW, it's not as simple as player a vs player b, when you ALREADY have Curry and Durant.
This is especially true of Draymond. Pretty much any ranking you find will have him as a top 10-15 player and he is by far the most important player the GSW's defense and defensive versatility.
And its not an indictment on Harden.

It's not the same issue with Klay, as its the same position.
The big issue with Klay is Harden would come in and need the ball in his hands a lot, based on historical evidence not be as useful a defender (in terms of a guy who could basically play crap offense in a Finals but be super value add because of a focus on defense... but that gap SO FAR this year has definitely closed), and because of contracts (when you already have many folks, analysts, whatever wondering if GSW can afford to keep all they currently have plus Klay when he bumps up... but which still won't be a bump to Harden-esque levels... Harden is due $38 million in 18/19 an climbing... 18/19 is the year Klay would be on a new contract...).

nice ASSumption fool... nobody said klay's better than harden, maybe on the defensively, but not overall. And I do recall, unlike some of you, harden was worst than klay in playoff 2, 3 years ago.

This is why they didn't sign Durant in summer 2016. Who needs a star when you have the two time reigning MVP!

u said that Klay and Harden were dead even offensively lmao, and then followed that up by saying that Klay was way better defensively...

So we’re suppossed to think that u weren’t saying that Klay was better than Harden? Ok...

    Another non-sequitur.

You're responding to a chain about potentially losing Draymond to get offense in return. Eg. Draymond for Harden.

Your point isn't relevant to this.
    Your analogy isn't comparable.
They didn't exchange Draymond for KD. Might they have? Maybe. But they didn't.
They added KD while effectively losing "nothing".

I'd like to take this opportunity to say "you're welcome" for introducing you to the verb "posit" - I have not seen anyone else adopt anything that enthusiastically since Ted Cruz first discovered internet pr0n.
