What I'm saying is I don't believe the coaching staff is putting a premium on defense. I don't believe they are enforcing it on the players. On a veteran team with a bunch of experience guys it may not be necessary but on a young inexperienced team it may be..

Did you guys not see the playoffs last year? Harden needs to prove that he is at the level of PG by improving his defense. I'm a homer and I still think PG is better but that's because I'm not blind nor have I been lobotomized.

The beard is way better for marketing!

By the way, I hate Tmac but I like PG. He actually reminds me of Tmac when he was good. Of course, PG has better defense than Tmac ever had.

6'8 and looks like a little bit like Tmac.

Yea I saw LeBron make George nut up in game 7... Dude couldn't even get a shot off... And the Rockets didn't lose because of Harden's defense in the playoffs.. Seems to me you didn't watch shyt or didn't know what you was watching.

George simply because he puts more effort in defense. Harden is a good defender when he wants to be, which isn't always.

No, no he did not give Lebron trouble. Lebron shot 50% every time he played George, one playoff game he shot 70%. I'm not sure how that is giving Lebron trouble.

His defense is getting overrated by some, he's no Lebron stopper.

Every time is a exaggeration btw, there is like one or two times Lebron had a average game against him.

Why does this need to be revisited? It's a valid discussion point sure just because it's interesting, but there's no moral imperative to have this conversation which is what OP implies.

You know a fanbase is bad when they don't pick their player

Ha wow, when he was good?

Tracy would wipe the floor with Paul George in his prime. It wouldn't even be close.

Are you all forgetting the preseason when Harden beat Paul George down.

The Pacers won 4 more games than us last year, and that was without us having Howard and them playing in the Eastern Conference. Switch Paul George and Harden, and you have the Rockets not making the playoffs

8th seed last year, Did you watch the rockets almost make playoffs year before also ? nothing against harden but that not a valid argument

George plays defense. Harden plays "defense". Advantage George

It makes absolutely no sense when people tie a playoff game where a player may have had a bad game and tie it to their career. So does PG not get any credit because he played in the finals game 7 and had a bad game?

You are not understanding his argument.

He's saying it is tougher to make the playoffs in West as the Pacers won 4 more games and were a top seed in the East and the Rockets were 8th.

You can argue that if you switch the players last year the Rockets don't make the playoffs. There were plenty of games that Harden simply won for his team. I don't think Paul is a guy you hand the ball too and say go win the game. Don't feel he's proven that yet.

I have stated my argument but can't even have a decent conversation when someone saying "hand the ball to someone when the game " then by showing his career high in a video... it's 2 sides to every story I can refer you to some games from last year where that didn't work, but I'm not here to blast harden he is important to the team.. But u came with another non valid OFFENSE reasoning...

Lol how is that non valid? Superstar players are go to players in the clutch. Always have been.

Top 5 players in Win Shares last season.
    1. Lebron James
    2. Kevin Durant
    3. Chris Paul
    4. James Harden
    5. Westbrook

You guys keep talking about defense but you are failing to understand is that a better offensive player beats a better defender every time. Team defense stops superstar players...that and having one of your own to match or better your opponents output.

George is definitely knocking down on the door of superstar status and is showing himself to be an all around great player. Harden is on his way but is not there yet, George has surpassed him in that regard. Both are incredible players with bright futures ahead of them (it would be nice if Harden played defense though).

While George may be much better on defense, he can't take over a game in the 4th like Harden can. I'll take Harden, just has more killer instinct. George is playing better right now though but then again we're only 5 games into the season..
