Harden has a bad scoring game, the Rockets get blown out of the water by the Clippers.

George has a bad scoring game, the Pacers blow out the Bulls by the third quarter.

I did not vote because there is honestly no straight up right or wrong answer in this question, but man, honestly, Harden needs to step up his bloody defense, for gods sake. Rockets are not going to go far into the postseason if he is going to be a siphon on defense.

At this moment, I'd rock with Paul George. I think he is on the verge of full-fledged superstardom.

My excuses. Let's give players time before we note them the best whatever.

If Lebron does not win another title the rest of his years, will people still proclaim him better than Jordan like some do now?

Lets impatiently make assumptions that Paul George is a better player than James Harden after 5 games.

There were two 5 game stretches where James averaged over 30 points a game. After 5 games lets make more quick impatient assumptions. He has played good d throughout the first 5 games at times. He also has played bad at times. Give it some time. Christ.

I don't watch PG plays so I don't give my opinion on who is better. but one thing for sure is harden has to improve his defense A LOT. right now, he is better version of KM, or someone may argue he is much better version of KM.

LOL, I thought you were a Rocket fan? Harden is so much better offensively.

People in this thread have not watched the Pacers apparently. He is no where near the offensive jug that Harden is.

You don't need to be partially objective to see why this is a poor argument for the better player.

ok, so much better offensively. so??? still offense, isn't it? who doesn't know harden and km is on different level. I believe to be an elite player, he has to be much better on defense.

George because the question is "at this moment"

If George's offense comes back down to earth then the answer would be Harden

Harden is clearly the better offensive player. George came into the league as a backup and focused on playing D to get on the court. Harden came in as a scorer. George is built to be a better defender with his length.

Let's face it, Harden may not ever be a defensive stopper like Kobe (prob wont be). So please, can we stop with that expectation? There have been plenty of stars in the league that were not lock down defenders, but still had very successful careers. Yes, he could do more and hopefully he will, but some of you keep wanting him to be a lock down type defender to detemine his success. We need a good team defense to win a title. We have Howard now in the paint so that will help. Let's not let one bad game (in the 3rd game of the season) allow us to pass judgement. Let's see how he does on Sat night vs the same team.

I do not know what your saying because it came off as jibber jabber, but I think you mean to say that KMART and the Beard are similar.

Kevin Martin beat one person off the dribble in Houston if that. It was terrible. He was absolutely awful in the playoffs when fouls determined his games. James can score without fouls.

Defense puts George over the top. And I hope this gets back to Harden so he can play harder and tougher on D.

But George has something you can't teach and that is 6 feet 8 inches of height and long arms. Helps out just a bit with his defense ;)

No doubt... They forget George has 7'2 Roy and an All Star caliber power forward in West who is a beast... And Stevenson has been ballin. George doesn't have to face double teams. He gets one on one action and opposing defenses rotate towards Harden _ George doesn't get that treatment. A lot of these people only look at what a player is doing but don't look at the situation they are in... Just like when the Rockets had to go get Pippen...Lol..

Harden's defense looked good when he was playing with OKC when he was checking Kobe and Manu... I personally think it's on the coaching staff because Parsons defense has been going backwards.

I never said PG was better than Harden. My opinion is unbiased and for the record I'm a JH fan but I don't discredit what other players are doing just because their not on the Rockets or they are being compared to whoever

My point is, that making calls on Harden's defense this year is irrelevant after 5 games, just as(tying in the overall post) PG to be better than JH.

I think people are so "IN TO" change, that they can't wait to proclaim the next Lebron(Wiggins, and so MUCH LOL at that), or that Lebron is as good as MJ(Once again, so MUCH LOL, Jordan played in a much better era. But hey that discussion is not for here nor there.).

Can we possibly let the season go on. I think James has been better defensively this year, than Chandler has or even James himself last year.
