$50k is the limit the NBA can fine a player, per the NBA by-laws

Reads to me like the quarantine imposed by NBA med director. He’d lose pay for missed games from quarantine caused by breaking protocol.

Is there a limit on how many times they can impose that fine?

Harden should be out for several days now, he screwed the team over with his behavior.

    not good at all.

He doesn't care. He only thinks about his own life and what he wants. People that have lost their lives and others who can still potentially lose their lives... by his actions he tells you F those people. As soon as he is traded to a team he wants he will all of sudden fall in line and will be 100 percent committed. F James Harden.

I would rather keep fining Harden and remove him from the active roster for insubordination than trade him for pennies. He does not care about this team anymore.

The team record for the year is important, since we lose our pick if it’s too high. But all this is secondary to the fate of the franchise over the next decade, of which a Harden trade would define once it happens. If we cannot extract fair value for him, it is better to hold onto him and let him pout, lose stats, and lose one year of his prime in terms of contention status, than to give in to his demands. He is under contract for two years and there are exactly zero available stars on the market this offseason. If he gives you zero in 2021 he will still be very desirable for a team out there.

This is great news given all that happened yesterday...I really still want to see this roster play some games together in regular season before Harden gets traded...

The Rockets should be able to suspend Harden for breaking protocol. Why should it solely be the decision of medical staff?

He’s demanding a trade and simultaneously flouting the rules to force the trade. He’s a repeat offender. The Rockets are within their rights to impose the penalty on their own, irrespective of medical input.
