Harden trade was bad (for Thunder), but how about?

Actually I should have said, "Two of them don't belong." Melo about the heart. And Chuck was never a chucker (no pun intended) like the other four guys were.

I will take Kevin Durant over Russ Westbrook every single time.

You wish that James had a little bit of Westbrook in him against the Spurs. Did you feel that way when Westbrook chocked down the stretch against the Warriors a few years ago? Did you feel that way when Westbrook struggled against the Rockets at the end of multiple playoff games?

Westbrook isn't terrible and is great at accumulating massive raw stats.

Hmm, I feel that is Westbrook If you take every single negative aspect of his game and forget the positive he brings, similar to how the media does with James Harden on a daily basis.

The real answer is somewhere in between, and truthfully Russ is a gawdamn monster. Harden is clearly better, but Westbrook is a phenomenal basketball player in my opinion. HOFer and one of the greats. He might already have a ring If Harden didn't completely choke in the Finals, or If KD made one more mid-range jumper. Again, hopefully Harden has grown up now.

Clutchfans is still hugely butthurt about ESPN pushing the Westbrook narrative.

He ain't perfect, but boy was he averaging 37-11-12 against us in a playoff series. He looked pretty damn good to me, bricks and all.

What is bizarre to me is the newfound KD love... :D Interesting. Guy joins the best team in basketball after being up 3-1, and everyone still wants him on their team? Seems very un-Maxwell to me. Very Kenny Smithish...

If KD made one more jumper? KD shot 55% from the floor in that series and 40% from 3. Westbrook shot 43% and 13% from 3........ Westbrook should have been the one hitting another jumper.

Perhaps if Westbrook hadn't shot 4 of 20 from the floor in game 7, he would have a ring.

As for James Harden, he was 21-22 years old.

True, but If you watch those games it was both Durant and Westy that choked away in the last few minutes, not to mention their supporting cast not being able to knock down open shots. Durant had multiple isolations to finish the series, and just couldn't come up with that last bucket. (Which is why it is so amusing that he jumped ship) Hard to imagine someone would only blame Westbrook when he was a huge part of keeping them in those games. Unless of course they were Rockets fans still bummed about Harden's lost MVP. ;)

So Harden was 22, what was his excuse last year? ;)

Durant was no efficiency paradigm either. 10-31, 11-31 in closeout games against GSW.

Not only that, but he was a gigantic black hole, RARELY getting more assists than turnovers. He was not creating for his teammates, nor making anyone on his team better. At worst, even on his worst shooting nights, Westbrook was getting Steven Adams 10-15 open looks under the hoop every single game in the pick and roll.

Kevin Durant choked, and became the beta-b**** that he is. He didn't command the ball, and he couldn't carry the weight, so he fled the castle like Theon Greyjoy. All the evidence needed is in his decision to join the 73 win GSW. It's like Hakeem joining the Bulls in 92. Westbrook is flawed, without a doubt, but he isn't a coward.

    12-31 in game 5.
    10-31 in game 6.

20 assists and 25 turnovers for the series.

Kenny Smith can do whatever he wants. He helped the Rockets win 2 rings.

As for Westbrook, 37 points ain’t all that impressive considering the massive number of possessions he monopolized, especially his bricked wild 3s in crunch time.

I wonder If Coach OKC would agree that he "monopolizes possessions", because one could say the same thing about Harden.

Are his assists impressive? Or is just nothing he does impressive?

Blah, blah, blah Westbrook sucks, narrative, chucker, usage, etc. I get it. :D

20 assists and 25 turnovers for Kevin Durant in the GSW series. 10-31, 12-31 in closeout games 5-6.

LOL a consensus 45 win 8th to 6th seed team in the pre season team won 55 games 3rd seed but failed to get to the WCFs?

Harden held them back? so who would you have replaced Harden with last year which will sure had carried the Rockets farther in the reg season and playoffs?

Westbrook blew playoff games against the Rockets down the stretch, he doesn't exactly have the clutch gene.

Durant is just the superior player. He can defend multiple spots at this point, he can play with other players and not impact their games negatively. Russ hasn’t shown that ability.

Durant choked? No what I saw was a ball hog point guard throwing up 30 plus shots taking away shots from a better and more efficient player. His 4 for 20 choke job in game 7 was just the cherry on top.

Westbrook is a Hall of Famer. However this idea that he is a big game player just isn’t consistent with his career so far.

I’ll take Durant every single time. I can put Durant on any elite team and he makes a bigger difference than Westbrook because Durant plays well with others and Westbrook doesn’t really.

I am not saying Durant is perfect and I thought going to GS was bizarre but he is the better basketball player.

I don’t know, what was Westbrook’s excuse losing to the Rockets last year? What was Westbrook’s excuse in the Finals? What was his excuse when he blew a 3-2 lead against the Warriors?

I'm not making excuses for Westbrook. He has no excuse.

Seems like you are making a different case regarding Harden.

Yikes. If KD going to GSW and winning a ring is impressive to you, welp, we have our differences. :D

No one is denying Durant is superior. Sheesh. Read...

10-30, 12-30, 20 assists and 25 turnovers. Left a 3-1 lead to go to the 73 win team that just beat him. He is a pillar of youthful pussification.

I have watched Harden longgggggg before you have, and I have been a fan longgggg before you have.

I like Westbrook too, but I love Harden.

    Problem?

No one is denying Durant is a beta b****, he even said himself he is no leader and is happy Curry is the one wearing the pants in GSW.

However even as a beta b**** Dirant is 3x the player Westbrick is on the court. Westbrick has a lot of things going for him but his blackhole tendencies and broken shot ensure he will be a detriment to his team. You will never win a ring with Westbrick as your top dog as he bricks too much and hogs too many shots, he is like Dwight he doesn't know his role and doesn't understand his strengths and weaknesses. Blaming everyone but Westbrick on their run in OKC is just typical of Westbrick homers who pushed the narrative last year like he had no help blah blah blah.

Ask All star Oladipo if he thinks Westbrick had no help last year. And ask PG and Melo why their team sucks despite having 3 all stars. Dude is just not a winning player. If you know bball you would know this.
