i know. some people don't like a certain pg because he plays pg and can't shoot. That's basically Rubio only with a spanish lisp. I'm thankful we have our backcourt wouldn't trade it unless they gave us durant. I know we got over on OKC. we can add them to teams that will no longer do business with us in the future, like new york.
What about retired/past players? Supposing we had a time machine and the players were in their prime. Like, not necessarily a GOAT, not necessarily a, "YES I WOULD DO THAT TRADE IMMEDIATELY", but one that you'd have to think about a minute and go, "yeah okay, that seems fair"??
Seriously. All last year we were b****ing about acquiring a "superstar". We finally get one and now we're talking about his trade value. Lol.
I think Presti and Morey will be just fine. If anything, I feel they make great trade partners, because they will generally accumulate talent that the other guy likes. No one in OKC is complaining about their team right now. Now, Toronto's trade with Lowry, THAT is highway robbery unless Lowry shapes up.
LeBron Durant A.Davis Irving Melo Westbrook Harden CP3 Howard Rose Once Howard and Paul sign long-term deals they'll (again) be more valuable than Harden. As will Rose if he turns out to be the same player he was before his injury. Irving and Davis are more valuable simply because of their age and the fact that they'll be pretty much locked up for nearly 10 years. Some people might make the case of Kobe or Love being more valuable than Harden. Kobe is just so much older & so much more expensive and Love is locked up for three years less than Harden.
We should trade him for andrew wiggins. Some team might think of doing that. Here is who I would trade him for: LBJ KD CP3 DH Andrew Wiggins .... Melo Drose Westbrook Griffin
Yes the article is pretty entertaining, but Harden's value right is so high you won't get it back in trade, making his value worthless since you'll almost always get a loss. Let's list what makes Harden so valuable: 1) Superstar-dude's averaging 20-30 pts each game, and he's doing it while scoring in a variety of ways from 3s all the way to driving to the rack. He's not a hall of fame/once-a-decade talent like LBJ or KD or Rose, but he's already in the superstar range. Strictly speaking, he's already the best SG in the league. I gues 100% Kobe and Wade are still better, but at their age and with their body breaking down I don't think Kobe/Wade deserve the top spot. 2) Age/Health-Dude's only 23. Nuff said, we're talking a bout 10 year window here, and he'll still be only 33. Other guys like LBJ/CP3 are also relatively young but at around 28+ their window's not as large as Harden. He's also quite healthy, having never suffered a major injury. 3) Intangibles-There's lots of players with superstars potential and still quite young, however very few are young, superstars, and have their head on straight. Melo, DH, Cousins all have the chance to be great but their attitudes need a lot of work. Harden's mature, and has no problems being the man. He's also extremely loyal (unlike LBJ, DH), doesn't fight with coaches (CP3), and most of all has no issues sacrificing his stats to get the win (melo, WB). With all of that, him landing on our lap is a true god send. There's only 1 guy in the league I consider his equal: Love (24 yrs old, the best (or 2nd best) PF, but he's already been injured), and 1 guy I consider better: Durant. I thik Harden has a better value than the rest of the guys including LBJ, DH, Melo and CP3. He's not the best player, but all the other guys have some issues, for example DH and LBJ are better players but they could leave you in the dust.
