Haha... Damn it Meh, I was waiting for either a Knee Jerk Rookie CF or a LOF to start the obligatory "TRADE HARDIN" thread that I knew was coming eventually. You beat them to it. I'll just say this. There are very few guys in the league right now that you could say are completely Un-guardable. Harden is in a class with Lebron, Durant, Melo, and maybe Kobe & CP3 at least on the offensive end. To be in the same class as those guys already AT TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD.... Houston has their guy no doubt. He is virtually un-tradeable right now.
There's a lot of gomers in here that don't understand the concept of this trade. It has nothing to do with actually trading Harden. Just read the Grantland article before giving this thread 1 star, and ripping into the OP. Actually, wait.....I forgot where I was for a second. This is the GARM. Carry on, gomers.
lebron, durant, westbrook, howard, rose and maybe love have higher trade value than harden. like i said, kobe can be out of the league anyday. cp3... didnt u get one of his knee's cartilage removed? idk.... i wouldnt want cp3 over harden
Pretty high up there when you put it that way. Very few guys in the league have higher trade value than Harden, because he's a superstar on such a long contract and is only 23. He's in my top 5 for sure.
You have to laugh at what Simmons said now. Anyway, Harden is pretty much untradeable. But with the new CBA, strange things are happening.
Would you take Rudy Gay and M Gasol for Harden? I think thats his value. Two players of that caliber. or 1 player of Melo caliber (not the mvp type melo)
I missed Rose. That was an oversight due to him being out for the year. DWade, I think Miami would trade us for Harden in a nano-second. Bosh feel is not on Harden's level due to his age. If he were 23, that'd be a different story. Lillard I also don't put on Harden's level because he's only 1 year younger(old rookie). Whereas Kyrie Irving's younger so potential for higher upside.
What's even funnier is that if Lin continues pretty solid production, say become a 15ppg/4rpg/6apg type of player, he might be back in the 30s range yet again if he makes a stink in the all-star voting.
I would do a Harden for Harden trade, but only if they threw in a young prospect as a sweetener. Maybe a James Harden-type of player.
I've just calculated the "trade", and it's not a legal trade. Houston Rockets' James Harden with contract-extension signed, being traded to Oklahoma City Thunders for James Harden, on rookie-scale salary with no contract-extension. (a bit weird...) On the Rockets side: outgoing salary: $5,820,417 (his actual salary this season) incoming salary: $14,070,069 (the average salary of all six season) Assuming this is a 1 on 1 trade with no filler, the salary difference is $8,249,652. The rockets currently has $7.84 million cap space. So this is not a legal trade.
I disagree, Bosh isn't in the same class as Harden and now that Wade has slowed down some I don't think he is in the same class either.
No Rubio ? Parsons Love Asik Trade Patt for a SG and let jones backup Love and Morris backup Parsons. That team would rock.
