I'd be good with 2 solid pgs as opposed to 1 stud.... Barea/IT type players.... PBev could even fill one of the slots.... PBev/Barea would be nice - Bev D and then Barea coming in to provide an offensive spark... I'm sure we could find a couple reasonable contracts that would align with our needs for the position - someone to defend when playing next to Harden (since James ain't) and someone to score when Harden sits -a couple guys that can at least get the ball into Dwight....
Exactly! Silly media outside of Houston might be dumb about it, but this clearly shows a more mature Harden going into the offseason. I think this latest experience is only going to make him better.
So glad Harden spoke up about this. I really hope this can be addressed this off-season, even if it means letting go one of Smith, Jones, or Brewer, maybe even DMo. I know those guys are an integral part of this team but we it's absolutely essential to get another guy who can penetrate the defense and preferably shoot the 3 at a high rate. Even if that guy happens to be an SG, just someone else who knows how to get by his man and create something or finish at the rim, that's all I'm asking for here.
One could debate that if we had Ty Lawson this year we would be heading to the NBA Finals...less turn overs, same level of defense if not better than Jason Terry's D and Lawson got offense. Harden wouldn't have 13 turnovers in the last game and we probably take the 2nd game in Golden State if not both...so I'd go for it if we can't find a better PG this coming year
Lol sure he will. When harris knight middleton this summer will get maxed with this cap ,u can bet ur house a combo big will get a max offer with 30 teams sitting on cap space next year.
Couldn't agree with James more. We badly need a second playmaker to cut down on the number of double teams Harden sees and give us a chance to rest him more during the playoffs.
Good. I'm glad he's not being shy and making it public with what we are lacking, which is what everyone already knows.
Well, consider we are talking about having some cap room to add pieces as is. I just threw out Tyson Chandler, but if the cap room could be made, he'd be who I'd target. So it's Lawson-Harden-Ariza-Faried-Chandler, with at least DMo/Capela off the bench. But again, as noted, the Faried part doesn't matter a ton to me. I like him, his rebounding and his energy, but see his flaws, too. Like I said, if I could do a straight swap Dwight for Lawson, that'd be preferred. Clear up cap space. Sign DeAndre Jordan. Lawson, Harden, Ariza, DMo, Jordan... but that's not possible I'm not proposing trading DMo. I am proposing improving on Smith/TJones, both of whom are too lacking, even off the bench.
Then he should just be like, hey Nick Johnson, bro, be good at basketball. Or hey, JET, get younger. Harden is trying to improve his defense but at the end of the day it is what it is.
I'd be surprised if we cant keep Bev around dude has no market outside the Rockets. I mean which other team can afford to have a pg who cant create shots? Unless OkC does something drastic like move WB to the pg slot or Dallas decides to go with Dirk/Monta/Parsons as the only playmakers I dont think Bev wiĺl have a lot of suitors.
Ah well yeah there is that. That would be a starting 5 with three of the worst free throw shooters in the league.
and you should educate yourself on how a horrible rebounding 7'0 will command max contract who has yet to play an 82 games season and step foot in the playoffs. delusional. dmo fans are hilarious. atleast try to be realistic plz
