Harden - Simmons trade

    Well I sure hope other GM's see that and take him off our hands. A 6' pg that can't shoot and makes having a Center a liability is a problem. Especially in today's game where even the bigman is shooting from outside, we want to roll with a 6'3 Center/pg who doesn't seem to be level headed enough to make the right decisions? That's just looking to get demolished every playoffs.

    Sure looks like Lebron is still in his prime to me. Jordan also won rings at 35.

    You're trading a once-in-a-generation offensive player for, essentially, a taller Russell Westbrook. And you're pairing this taller Russell Westbrook with...the actual Russell Westbrook.

    Ben Simmons has no jump shot. Teams can just pack the paint and dare Westbrook and Simmons to shoot.

    On top of all that, Simmons doesn't seem to stay healthy throughout a full season.

    I would rather have 5 more years of "declining" Harden than 10 years of "prime" Simmons. And that's even if we somehow manage to offload Westbrook's contract. Harden isn't even in decline.

    Jordan was great in 98.
    But he was other worldly in the first 3 peat.

    Same with James still great. But other worldly in 12-15

    Both had Athleticism like you can't believe.

    problem is at this point you're not getting 5 more years of harden. the rockets will be lucky if he even reaches the final 3 years

    In only 1 of his NBA season has Russ' shooting meant a team couldn't have a C.
    OKC always had a C.
    It is D'Antonis inflexibility offensively which works extremely well, but at the same time required more spacing for Westbrook.
    Another offensive system may allow a non-existent PG to excel on the drive while also having a big on the court.

    If LAX takes Russ for PG, then we would be idiots not to take that straight up!

    Can then follow up and get a big with House/ MLE

    Harden is overrated here, Hes is a great scorer, but no where near Lebron or Jordan or Kobe. Think of James as Allen Iverson lite, just cant lead a team nowhere.

    This trade idea is simply insulting. Harden comes in Top 5 players in the league. Horford is 34 and finished and combo of Russ & Simmons would probably not even make the playoffs.
