and hibbert is playing like a giant tampon. didnt 5'10 DJ augustine outrebound him in march or something? lmao
Can you name one true wing star that is not a prolific scorer? And no, George is not a prolific scorer. Dirk is not a two way star, Nash was never a two way star - the way you become a star is, if you can take over games and get your team a win even when the other team is clearly outplaying your team. George is a great Robin, a guy that helps your team in any way possible. But he can`t put his stamp on a game the way a star can. Oh, and even though i don`t question Georges defense - do you know how his opponents scored against him last playoffs? For all the praise he`s got, a real star is still getting his points - even if they are playing against a great defender like George.
That is the problem. He is not a 2 way star. He is not Tony Allen on defense and he is not James Harden on offense. This line of thinking needs to stop.
At least when Paul George is having a bad offensive game, he still contributes by playing good defense. And I've never seen anybody question PG's level of effort before either.
Funny seeing everyone hop of Harden's bandwagon for him finally being exposed for what he truly is, if his 3's aren't falling and the whistles aren't blowing, he's truly the worst player in the league.
there's a reason PG guarding opponents best perimeter player, he volunteered and assigned to stop Teague in game 2, while dropping team high 27 ,team high 10 rebounds and team high 6 assists. What did Harden offered in playoff so far?
I'm not digging harden as much anymore. Seegame.juste a regular season guy only...sound familiar? I said it once and I'll say it again, I cannot stand his herky jerky pump fake game. Just go up and shoot. He always has to milk the clock with terrible bail out passes or a low % shot. Give me melo please. At least he gets you puts consistently and will try on defense when he wants.
I saw Paul George having a good game and knew this thread would be bumped. It might be this way until they both retire.
Yippe. Paul George had a good series against the sorry 8th seeded Hawks. Portland probably would have swept Indiana if they played each other.
This. George played great, but ATL is Charmin. Time will tell if he's truly stepped it up. The only thing from the playoffs I question is Harden's clutch-ness. Something I had confidence in 2 weeks ago. Also thought he'd step it up defensively, but didn't last long.
100% Paul George. A real superstar does have the ability and will to playing defense. Offense: PG ~= JH Defense: PG > JH
I feel really bad for Paul George. This man knocked up a stripper, got catfished, got robbed, nearly got himself suspended for a game seven, had a pretty bad year down the stretch. Poor guy. That is a lot to go through. Respect for trucking through it.
