Here are the top 10 in turnovers per game in 2013: Pierce, Harden, Howard, Westbrook, Durant, LeBron, Paul George, Monta Ellis, Steph Curry, Pau Gasol. And your argument is that Harden can only succeed by dropping out of that group?
Wish this was a poll, George and it's not even close. Full package and as much upside as any player in the league.
Didn't someone post earlier that Lin was no.10 in turnovers in the league. Anyways that is quite an illustrious group. You asked the question... And your argument is that Harden can only succeed by dropping out of that group? Its seems like rather a silly question. First, you are twisting my words, I said Harden would be more effective if he wasn't leading the NBA in turnovers. If he dropped out of the top ten leaders in turnovers in the NBA, HELL YES, I think Harden would be more effective. Are you trying to suggest that leading the league in turnovers is a good thing just because so many star players are in the top ten in turnovers in the league? Under that logic, why doesn't Lin try to increase his turnovers to be no.1 like Harden. SMFH
most teams tend to over rate their players, but it seems to only apply to role players. On clutchfans, Asik is the equivalent of Dwight, George/Curry are superior to Harden and Jeremy Lin is both superior to CP3 and worse than John Lucas.
If we had Paul George on the Rockets instead of James harden we would have never been in the playoffs. He can't carry a team.
THANK YOU I'm so glad somebody said it. I love Paul George's game, and I think he's a terrific player on both ends of the floor, but could he carry this Rockets team to the playoffs? No, he couldn't.
You're right, but James Harden already can lead a team to the playoffs. I would love to bring Paul George to the Rockets, but if I was asked to trade James Harden for George straight up, I'd quickly say no thanks and have a nice day.
After Gm.2 of Pacers/Heat, Harden > P.George. If Hibbert wasn't on the Pacers, George would not have it that much glory. Harden is instant offense, with George, you will never come back from 20 point deficit. Surround Harden with better players, we will looking at every team in the rearview mirror.
Probably not. It would have to be an entirely different type of team. A defensive minded team with solid rotations. Half of George's value is his amazing help defense, and help defense has very little value without solid rotations/secondary help. That's not happening on a young inexperienced team that was put together within one summer. In that setting, individual offense >>>>>>> defense. That said, I doubt the Pacers without George could make the playoffs in the West.
Obviously right now it's Harden and it's not even close. A lot of the LOFs here are painting a picture of Harden being this finished product and PG being this amazing up and comer, but the reality is PG is 22 and Harden's only 23. If PG can raise his game next season then so will Harden.
