its not close in my eyes. harden seems better offensively because he takes more shots, has a higher usage rate than george, and in this pussified era where great defense is penalized and cheap flopping offense like harden is rewarded.

    george is a better player.

and there it is, the join date slag. You must think im asian and a jeremy lin fan?

    1. no im not asian.
    2. i dont like jeremy lin.

Well said on all fronts, really.

You do have to take into account the supporting casts though. Pacers have some very good vets that have helped them get where they're at.

George plays a far different role, and a different position, on a much better Pacers team. And it looks like half the people here forgot that Harden got the Thunder past the spurs and into the Finals just last year.

I don't know if Harden has that much upside. His game is very mechanical and without his quickness and speed it really all comes down to whether his jump shot is falling. I think George has a better all around game and has raw offensive talent which can be developed. He'll also probably be the perimeter defenders in the NBA.

I think George is a better all around player than Harden, but my bias would probably still pick Harden

Your argument on why Harden "seems" better on offense is laughable.

Harden takes 2.2 more shots per game and has a massively better true shooting percentage, a better overall FG% and gets to the line at will. All of which are the reasons Harden has a higher usage rate.

And no my join date comment has nothing to do with race and everything to do with that 99/100 Harden hate comments come from posters who signed up mid 2012 and on.

So Harden's offense only seems better because he's taking more shots yet all of his percentages are better than George's. Sounds about right.

Lol Harden no question about it, especially if you're building around someone.

BUT-I would give the entire team for George to be Harden's sidekick. One can dream. Well, I would prefer to keep Asik.

A package like Lin, Parsons, D-Mo, T-Robb, fillers, draft picks for George, Psycho T and fillers.

Harden is a selfish ball hogging shameless flopper. a certified choker artist.

    An utterly dishonest player.

He is more carmelo/tracy mcgrady/ vince carter than Kobe/lebron.

YOU PEOPLE WILL LEARN THE HARD WAY AND SOON ENOUGH.

so instead of proving me wrong you post this?

    what are you talking about?

Is james harden a shameless flopper?

    YES.

    Is he a choke artist?

see the finals. see how he played at the end of the season when we had important games to close out to get a better spot.

    YES. A certified choke artist.

    Is he a ball hog?

    YES.

Why is he more tmac/vince/melo? instead of kobe?

look at all the games we lost to utterly crap teams. He takes plays off and doesnt have a killer instinct like kobe.

I say they are equal in terms of talent and potential. If you need offense go with harden. If you dont have a defensive center or wing then you go with paul.
