    He's saying this now, but what did he say just a day before...? Has it echoed previous things he's said that the fans SHOULD take exception to...? Yes...


    Some people just want to be blind optimists... I guess...

    As I said in another thread, people have always underestimated Harden so he's surpassed expectations. But now he's regarded as the best SG and the expectations are much different.

    Game 1 wasn't enough. But after game 2, I think it's the wake up call he needed. All eyes are on him. I think he'll respond. I can't guarantee he'll play much better but I think he'll go all out, which is all I can ask.

    Doesn't matter if someone is telling him to say it or not. Fact that he is saying it at least he realizes how he must have come across and he sounds and that's enough for now.

    And you're precisely right.... He is 24 years old.... and his coach and mentor for the crucial developmental years of his career is McHale...
