It'd be cool for Harden to be there but I'd like for us to get a foundational piece instead of several mid-tier assets. It’s worth considered however that Dinwiddie, LaVert and Allen could each net us a FRP themselves if that’s what it comes down to.
if Harden ends up on the Nets, he is making the finals for sure they would be the most interesting team in the league with wannabe woke Kyrie, seeing if KD will be close to what he was after tearing his Achilles, Harden, Steve Nash as coach, and Amare and his former head coach MDA as his assistants too bad the Nets offer is a joke for Harden
The fact that Harden likes the Nets doesn't mean the Rockets have to trade him there. As far as we talk about Nets and Sixers, Simmons is clearly the best player, while the Nets have more interesting players overall, the picks are meh from both teams so, it might depend on who's willing to give up more unprotected ones. Overall, i'd still say Simmons + Thybulle beats pretty much every combination of players the Nets can put on the table, Allen and LeVert is a good combo imo, but Dinwiddie and Prince due to their ceiling are just not enough to make up for that difference. One thing i would want though, is to get Wiseman in the draft, we would be able to rebuild much quicker around a 1-3-5 combo of Simmons, Thybulle and Wiseman.
The nets offer is a bunch of mediocre crap imo, especially as compared to what philly could offer. Unfortunately if harden become enamored with the idea of Durant, irving and the nets and demands a trade only to them... It could put the rockets in a difficult position. Harden has a player option for the 2022 season. Meaning the rockets could lose him for nothing in two seasons. Realisticly they would only have a little more than a year to trade him. It all comes down to what happens the next few weeks... What happens with WB, free agency, Tilman, Durant, nets, embid, sixers, Morey will all be factors in harden being all in for the rockets upcoming season or demanding a trade. At this point it feels like a coin flip of either happening.
You only make a deal only if you get a package better than you have. Not because a star is requesting one. Period. Still wishful thinking by the NBA.
He has two years left and a player option. If we trade him this offseason and it's not for a superstar in return, I'm never giving this team a dollar again as long as the Fertita family is involved. I've held off cancelling tickets so far because I wanted to give them a chance this offseason but I will call the second Woj tweets that trade to the Nets if it happens. **** that.
If the Nets send 4 young starters for Harden you have to take it. It's time to cut payroll and focus on supporting cast investment instead of 1 or 2 players. That being said I'd rather take Simmons from Philly instead of what the Nets offer is
