I think spice is the variety of life. Watching Harden exhaust himself in the playoffs by driving into traffic and often not getting the benefit of the calls has left a bad taste.

I think if the overall team shooting was better, he'd be averaging +10 assists.

Here we go with the negative threads about Harden. When we win, no posts get made in Harden threads. As soon as we lose, it's all Harden's fault.

He scored 38 points and had 8 assists last night.... with only 1 turnover. Yeah, he didn't shoot the ball all that well.... but his all-around game made up for it. And I feel he does force up some of 3pt shots at times.... but it's not surprising due to his teammates missing wide open standing 3pt shots. And it's not like Harden's shooting standing wide open 3pt shots..... he's shooting them off a dribble, which is way harder to make. When Westbrook is back, he'll have way more standing 3pt shots. How about we look at the players who not contributing on offense end most games. Players like Gordon, Rivers, Tucker, and even Covington do not offer enough on the offensive end.

OKC tightened up on him. Because they are FULLY AWARE that Harden cant handle late game close-out full court pressure. He makes mental mistakes. Celtics game 1-2yrs back for example. CP3 knows.

You put Russ on the floor and it's a non-factor. So I'm not worried about it.

Harden did have a good game aside from his shooting and his teammates sucked offensively, but he has this habit of getting stuck in this drive and contested 3 loop. Sometimes we just need a basket.

You thought that was bad reffing? I thought it was bad decision making.

Just create space and get the ball. Instead, what happens with Harden (constantly) and I see it as a mental mistake issue, is Harden instead opts to lock horns with the defender and create unnecessary wrestling matches. Very little upside in that, you make the game harder on yourself, on the refs, etc... you allow the defense exactly what they want, an opportunity and grey area for a turnover to happen.

Just... create space. Get the ball. Make the game easy.

No need for the pee-pee games at all. No good comes from that.

Why give them the opportunity? Why lean on the guy? If he’s exhausted (can’t get open, can’t defend at end of game) then it may be a coaching issue of not enough breaks during the game (reminded me of the OT loss to San Antonio a few years back). Dort definitely owns our Hall of Famer and our offensive coach genius needs to provide some help and make necessary adjustments or we are done in this Series if Westbrook doesn’t return. MDA ego won’t allow him to make the right move of bringing in a fresh Tyson Chandler to just help our small exhated players at the end of the game hold on to a lead. The glory has to be about MDA and his genius creation of small ball, when being the playoffs this should only be about one objective and that’s winning at all costs even if it makes MDA look like he caves in once and awhile. Seen him enough to know we’ll get zero minutes from Chandler this series even if Tucker gets hurt or it costs us victories.

NEWSFLASH wherever harden is on the court during inbounding plays in tight games there will be bodies around him. This isnt Lebron or Giannis, Harden is not only the best player on the court at all times, but is an 88% free throw shooter. They will deny him the ball. PERIOD, if harden pushes off to get free( the defender will flop.. as they should)

I couldn't disagree more. Harden is playing as smart of basketball as ever. In this series, he's averaging fewer FGA than in the regular season, despite the loss of WB, and he's averaging 7 apg (and would probably be averaging 10 apg if his teammates could hit open 3s at their career averages) with an astoundingly low 1 TOPG. He is not forcing anything. He's playing the same game he's always played. If anything, I wish he'd go at Dort MORE, but I trust his judgment far more than my own.

Is he going one-on-one sometimes? Of-f*cking-course. Harden for the last three years has consistently been the single most ISO-heavy player of all time, and to resounding [and historic] offensive success, and to go away from that now would be disastrous for the Rockets. But because of your selective memory after a painful loss, those 1-on-1 plays are bothering you more right now than they rationally should.

He'd be averaging 10+ assists if the other Rockets could nail their wide open 3's.

    Easy.

Kawhi battled but took a difficult long two point fade away at the end of the 4th. I didn't like that attempt. He gets no excuse either but he hardly uses them too.

    LOL

Clips are supposed win chip, Kawhi is elite defender but Mavs beat them in OT after overcoming 21 points deficit.

Clips are 2-2 vs. 7th seed.

    Ridiculous double standard.

You won't see him doing what Luka did last night, that's all I'm saying.

Luka already won a professional championship by being clutch.

    With Real Madrid.

His hero was a certain Tmac of Greece.
