Much more to basketball than FG% Also getting fouled is part of the game. Most of the best players get fouled a lot because they can get into the lane at will and draw fouls.
do you watch the games? or, do you listen to them on the radio like a poor sap? you do realize that a lot of those misses are from him driving to the basket to draw fouls/get opponents into foul trouble, right? As long as he's not going 10-44 like Kobe for his 20+ pts, he'll be fine. Not everyone can make every shot while crashing into opponents while simultaneously avoiding the long, flailing arms trying to stop the shot. smh
I can't belive there are posters like you out there. Would you prefer we give Harden back to OKC? I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving him the max now.
Harden can get to the line even if he has an off night from the field. This is what separates him from most of the shooting guards in this league. This is consistency.
The ability to get to the free throw line is viewed as a negative for some strange reason. Most teams would kill to have players that can get to the line.
This may be the worse thread of the year. Maybe you haven't noticed but all superstars have high free throw attempts.
I didn't forget Carmelo Anthony, I didn't include him. He had a great start to the season but has faded back to his career averages. While Carmelo has a great offensive arsenal and would be a great option given that he can play in the post, Harden has been the more consistent and superior scorer this season.
Troll post aside... Lin counts more towards our cap this year than Harden. His "max" doesnt kick in till next year and even then his max figure is much, much lower than a lot of other players max contracts.
Because I'm sure everyone on the opposing team wants to foul him? Outside of Parson's improved 3pt% and Delfino's sharp shooting we don't have alot of players that can consistently shoot 3's at a high %. I'd rather build around this team we have now than the team we had last year..
It seems like people don't understand that if you shoot 33% form 3 point range it's the same as shooting 50% from 2 point range.
