Offense and defense is not a 50/50 split. If that was the case then Patrick Beverley at James Harden level the year he won all-defensive 2nd team.
You are right. People want to throw the losing narrative at Harden, but atleast he made the playoffs and Cousins didn't. Voters and the media take things to personal. At the end of the day, its an individual award. TMac got all NBA 2nd team when the Orlando Magic finished 21-61, but Harden team makes the playoffs and can't even get on the 3rd team....Got IT. NBA is a joke
...and to back this up, Harden had a winshare of 13.3 this season, while TMac had like 8.3 and he got 2nd team.....LOL!
just says alot about how bad the C position is these days. But with the depth at the guard position being as good as it is, someone has to get left off for whatever reason.
Even Kevin Love made All-NBA team while playing for forever losing Timberwolves back in the days. People accused him of stat-padding but it didn't prevent him from making the cut. Since when did this become all about team achievement? smh

Exactly, this is beyond stupid. Dwight Howard actually made the situation worse. Him crying to the media even more makes people point fingers at Harden. Idk when the voting took place, but still...
I'm so tired of the media manipulation bull****. This is as disrespectful as it can be to a player that put up those numbers on a **** team like we had this year. Regardless of wins(boogie made second team) James Harden deserves to be all-nba. This nonsense has got to stop, he was the league's second leading scorer for ****s sake, but all anyone wants to talk about is stupid vines. I feel like the media did this on purpose just to **** him out of his adidas bonus. I hope the warriors get blown out tonight and Curry cries his little biach eyes out

you're right. this is Dwight's fault. the fact that James didn't play defense all season while leading us to a breathtaking 41 wins . . . not so much.
Honestly not surprised. There was a thread about this weeks ago and said there that I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make an All-NBA team this year. That said, All-NBA teams shouldn't be about team success or record, it should be about the best players at their respective positions any given season. Nobody, in their right mind should have left Harden off that list. IMO he deserved to be on the 2nd or 3rd team at the worst. Even in, what we as fans consider, a down year he had a historical season when it comes to individual stats. Any other player and the media would have a circle-jerk over said feat. But yeah, like others have said - hope he takes this at motivation and kills next season!!
This Harden doesn't play defense narrative has way gotten out of hand, and even Houston fans are guilty of pushing it too far. There's a difference between being a bad defender generally and not playing defense at all. A player who doesn't play defense at all has DRPM close to 0 which is almost dead even? smh. Lillard is a great leader when his team's defense suffers more when he is on the floor?
So you are saying cause he is a bad defender he shouldn't be all nba? But DeAndre doesn't have any offense and is a 1st teamer? hmmmmm
this is r****ded. I can't wait til harden leaves this city. Because Idiots actually agree with this ****.
it should be pretty obvious with great depth comes a wider criteria Love had no business being on that team either just like cousins.
People foaming at the mouth over a personal recognition award, LOL James Harden did NOT deserve to be in any of the ALL NBA teams. He played zero defense, didn't even put any focus on that side, questionable effort, showed poor leadership, came into the season out of shape, set the record for turnovers etc. And there were other better candidates As much credit as he got last season (which was well deserved) for the Rockets finishing 2nd, he also deserves all the flak for the Rockets being the biggest disappointment in the NBA. You can't have it both ways. Hope this is a kick up the rear end for James
Harden has brought a lot of this on himself. His stock has really fallen. He can either use this to get better not only on the court as a player but as the leader this organization needs him to be or he can continue to see his reputation and stock drop even more. It's up to him.
Petty. Looks like some of the people on Clutchfans got their wish. Harden got Mchale fired and Iced out D12? Mchale should have been gone two years ago and Dwight "iced out" himself. But lets not allow facts to get in the way, lol.
