If he doesn't get Shaq'n the Fool again this week for that, then you know the media is biased

Of course he didn't. But teams go as their best player goes, and the Rockets best player doesn't care about defense. Is it really that big of a shock the Rockets suck in this area when Harden appears as disinterested as he does on this end of the court?

It wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the starters are fed up covering for his laziness, and the overall team chemistry is completely fractured. Especially when you add in the fact Harden dominates the ball and turns it over at a high rate. Name me one Rocket Harden has made better this year?

Also, while Curry is not a good individual defender, he at least gives effort, and doesn't hang his teammates out to try on that end. Harden gets railed on because he chooses not to try and, thus, compromises the overall team defense. Plus, one team is 61-6, and one is 34-34. If Curry was playing lazy D to the degree James does, the Warriors would not be playing at the historic level they currently are.

Let me try: Without Harden, the Rockets would not not be one of the worst teams in the NBA.

i said it before...IMO harden is a carmello type player...great player, incredible offensive talent but will not lead to winning...

Carmelo and Harden are 1st ballot Hall of Fame.

Melo and Harden have lead their team to the Western Conference Final.

If that's not leading to winning, I don't know what is.

Melo made the playoff for 10 straight years and every players were jealous of Melo and the success he had. All the NBA players wanted to be in the same position Melo was when he lead his team to 10 straight playoff. They were envious of Melo success...according to Melo

"Anthony told the media that after making the playoffs for 10 straight years with the Denver Nuggets, he is left wondering what happened.

"I don't think envy is the right word, but I do look at my peers and say, damn, what am I doing wrong?'' Anthony said. "I should be there. There was one point they were looking at me like that.:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I made it 10 years straight."

For a Harden team to win the title, he needs to be surrounded by the toughest hard-nosed defensive players. They would hide his faults with ease.

Imagine the Bulls in the year Joachim Noah won DPOY and change D-Rose for Harden. They beat the big 3 Heat with amazing chemistry.

Then he chased the bright lights of NY & the fame & the money and then all the sudden, he's wondering what am I doing wrong? No one wants to play with me/for the Knicks.

Made the playoffs 10 years in a row but only advanced past the first round twice.

Now he's gonna have to waive his no trade clause to leave NY if he wants to start 'winning' again.

Here, you can start with this:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Curry fell asleep on D, just like that Harden vine from last night. BUT NOBODY CARES. <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans">@clutchfans</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/DreamShakeSBN">@DreamShakeSBN</a> <a href="https://t.co/dv5tbjRrC1">https://t.co/dv5tbjRrC1</a></p>&mdash; Space City Scoop (@SpaceCity_Scoop) <a href="https://twitter.com/SpaceCity_Scoop/status/710472449276575745">March 17, 2016</a></blockquote>

If harden is guarding you, stand in the corner...wait a little while, then cut to the basket and that'll be good for 2-6 points per game.

yeah, let's see . . . Curry is leading a team that is exceeding expectations and may just end up with the greatest win-loss record of all time.

Harden is leading a team that is performing WAY below expectations and can't seem to stay above .500 .

that may have something to do with whether anybody cares. just a guess.

I've seen that video. Just one play? I'm disappointed. I was hoping to see a compilation, you know, like the one Harden has. It's just not fair to give all the love to Harden and not pay attention to the MVP.

Meh, both players are great as individuals, but do not necessarily make their teammates championship contending role players and a consistently cohesive unit.

They are difficult to build around with because their playing style are scoring a lot but giving up a lot of points. Not the most conducive to winning type of players.

The occasional WC cameo will just fool the fairweather man

I'm not so sure about that.
Howard, Lawson (not here anymore but probably a much better player without Harden and wouldn't have been waived), Ariza, DMo, Capela, Terry.

Just watched this, it's terrible how bad Harden is at keeping track of his defensive assignment. He seems incapable of watching the ball and keeping track of his assignment at the same time. On nearly every of those baskets he gave up a wide open shot opportunity, how is that even possible?

    Media gonna narrative.

Harden with 5 fouls, late in the game, doesn't want to pick up a 6th and basically lets Westbrook score. And the media gives no context/nuance and just presents that play as "Harden bad defense play."

It was the idiotic turnover that was the problem there, not the defense.
