We saw greatness in Hakeem, Drexler Co., had hopes for Barkley, Pippen, Francis and Mobley, picked No. 1 in Yao, had a dynamic duo when McGrady arrived and it crumbled to dust very soon,

had a good postseason with Yao, Battier, Scola, Artest, Brooks and the historical streak, mediocre times with Lowry, Martin and role players post Yao era

Endless draft picks at the 14th spot until we got Harden, and signed Dwight to the max, highlight WC Finals as several role players stepped up in round 2

To give you a small summary

Here we are again with McHale fired, Dwert likely gone, and a disastrous season behind us

 

Why would you say that? After a terrible season we're still here posting about the Rockets. We're still super loyal to the team.

Oh, I get it. It's because we're not Harden only fans.

I suppose the people who wanted Lin and TMac shipped out were also "the most unloyal fans ever."

 

Stop saying that Harden is a top five player. He was a top five player from 2013-2015 hence back to back ALL-NBA first teams. He's probably not going to make any ALL-NBA team this year.

 

True, he might not make any ALL-NBA team this year....even if so, that doesn't mean that he didn't deserve a spot on the ALL-NBA team.

IMO the ALL-NBA team isn't about team success - at least it shouldn't be. And if one really looked at it objectively, there is no way one could find 3 SG (or 6 guards if they don't go with PG/SG) who are more talented and had better seasons than Harden.

 

What is wrong with our enabling fans like this guy?

Harden said he would do anything, we ask he play a little D and off the ball some, and the enablers come running.

Aim higher, be accountable, expect your best player to lead.

Don't settle like this guy.

Houston fans will chase him out of town and we will be stuck in mediocrity yet again. But don't worry because even though the team will suck and we are not winning at least they will at least have heart and care

Where people see "unloyal" I see "highly demanding".

The last 15 years of Francis, the 40-point loss to the Mavs, terrible depth versus the Jazz, TMac's career derailing, Yao's career derailing, Lin and Parsons versus team Aldridge, and this years epic collapse have created a pretty short fuse.

Pretty understandable, I think. As Morey likes to brag, our team has one of the highest winning percentages in the last 15 years.. yet, what do we have to show for it? A lot of heartbreak.

Fans want to see a star / roster that doesn't already have glaring flaws at the start, because the Rockets don't have that kind of luck where things will just work out for the best.

 

This thread is why we don't deserve a title.
